Alexei Morozov

I know he held out from the Pens, but would he be an UFA or the Pens still own his rights? He is only 29 years old and would add some skill to our lineup. I know we do need more grit but he played with alot of players who were on the Pens, Straka, Jagr, Kasper, Rozsival. I think he was on a line with Straka and Jagr at different times for the Penguins. Maybe he can be a replacement for Rucchin. Not saying at centre, but in terms of a roster spot.

Im not refering to his holdout... Im refering to his disapearing skills on the ice... His work ethics are second only to Berezin...

Yep, let's sign a player who's skills disappear once the puck drops. Another brilliant idea...

Trying to be the ex-Pens? You should sign Moran while your at it, or maybe even Stevens!

Just as a note, he didn't hold out on anyone. Morozov had an active contract with AK Bars through the 2005-2006 season, and since he couldn't agree to terms with the Penguins, so he played out his contract in the RSL. In fact, he signed a two year contract with Ak Bars and upheld it when he could have left for the NHL: a sign of loyalty and dedication. Think what you will of him as a player, but lets not thrash Morozov as a proffessional underservedly.
