Currently watching the Winnipeg game. Results up when finished, in the mean time, after about 50 failed attempts, I got Columbus to agree to this. Their GM did *NOT* want to part with Dubinsky haha.
C - Brandon Dubinsky
D - James Wisniewski
C - Tuomo Ruutu
D - Joni Pitkänen
2014 CAR 1st
They're at the contract limit so I couldn't add extra players without taking back and that particular pick was the only one we have they were interested in. Haven't accepted it yet until I get feed back from ya'll. Lemme know if we should do this.
Projected lines if we do do it.
Semin//Eric//Iginla
Jokinen//Jordan//Skinner
Callahan//Dubinsky//LaRose (greatest line in history of NHL?)
Bowman//Brent//Dwyer
Green//Gleason
Wisniewski//Faulk
Harrison//The Anton
I'll post every teams trading block when I do the WPG//CAR post game. Define "valuable" tho, or you want every teams entire block?
-Prospects that look to have a good future (based on the game, not real life...because it's completely different)
-Players who would be upgrades at any position based on where they project to slot into our lineup (without costing too much to trade for). Obviously, you won't trade for a 2nd liner to play on the 4th line and all that.

Okay, gimme 10 min and I'll go do that, in the mean time, we triumphed (barley) over our most heated rival

To keep things simple, I went through everyones trading blocks and wrote down only players we'd have a legitimate interest in (ie NHL ready players or prospects that actually have a future)
Pretty much everyone had C grade prospects and picks on their blocks, but here's the players that we may want for our inevitable Cup Championship

A lot of 35+ guys but some of them are still very serviceable.

These are the guys that would be worth looking at (IMO) off that list.
I grabbed McDonald as an FA after the 2012-2013 season in my Be a GM, and he was a fantastic pickup for two years before downgrading severely and being untradeable.
Both of McDonald and Elias are FAs according to Capgeek after this season, so there's really no harm done if they don't work out.
What hypothetical trades would be out there for those guys, assuming that Ruutu is still one of our players to trade away?

I'm going out for lunch now, but when I get back this afternoon, I'll post updates for league standings and stats leaders as well.
Oh, and Semin didn't score against Columbus, so you're wrong. Ruutu scored the lone goal in the 10th round in that one, according to what you posted.
I missed one then sorry, he has 2 then
Also, FWIW, we still have Raitis Ivanans sitting in the press box every game? Should we hang on to him in case we ever need a goon? I'm pretty sure he's guaranteed to get claimed if we waive him. The fourth line has been playing pretty well (especially Bowman) so dunno if we wanna send a 2-way down.
Glad you asked, the lure of the 2019 BCS Championship between Nebraska and Alabama (ie I was playing NCAA 13 not NHL 13 this afternoon) was drawing me away from my duties here
Anyway...
Team and League stats, accurate as of today [30/11/2012].

Thinking of giving HumpyDawg the start today against the Devils.
Pitkänen saved a sure goal in the 3rd by stealing the puck from Ovi just in front of the net while Ward was out of position so that makes up for whatever the ******* happened in the 1st lol
The problem here is we have turned the corner from rebuilding team to veteran team very quickly. Muller isn't suited to this environment.
What we need is a coach who likes working with veteran players, and who will hold our young guys strictly accountable for earning any ice time in the top 9. Someone like that should be hired immediately.
