Junior prospect pool for Ottawa Senators highlighted by high-end OHL talent


The Ottawa Senators have nine prospects presently at the junior level led by former first round picks Cody Ceci, Stefan Noesen, and Matt Puempel. The organization addressed its weak goaltending depth in the 2012 entry draft by selecting Chris Driedger of the WHL and Francois Brassard of the QMJHL, both of whom are having strong seasons. The lone junior prospect Ottawa has outside of Canadain major junior is Robbie Baillargeon of the USHL.



OHL

Cody Ceci, D, Ottawa 67's
Acquired: 1st round (15th overall) in 2012

and IMO we should see the top seven in Bingo next season, that is, if Iron Maidens ever returns from his concussion problems.

Any update on the Iron Maidens? last I heard he visited the Sens doctors for a check up.

Maidens, Driedger & Brassard are not AHL eligible next year.

Also any idea how serious Puempels shoulder injury is? Heard something about it on the Rangers broadcast on Friday night but I have no idea when/how long ago it happened or how severe.
