Do the leafs really need a small, slow, one-dimensional, overpaid second line winger? I think they'd be better off looking for a different solution. Cammy is good on the powerplay and can finish, but he's also one of the worst forecheckers in the league. I don't see him being a great fit for the Leafs with Kessel and Grabovski on their top 2 lines.

Yes it is.

He only doesn't want Cammalleri to leave. If he does, then it's for the proverbial "Overpayment"

Not really one-dimensional, or slow. Overpaid. Slightly. However, for the leafs he'd looked even more overpaid due to the fact that where he really shines is in the playoffs and they'd still miss.

I guess people see Cammalleri's value lower than I thought
He should be able to put up some nice stats, if he had someone to set him up. Habs just didnt have the guy for him, and injuries didn't help.

He plays good during playoff too

no it isn't a fan not wanting a player to leave is not relevant at all to his value

Out of curioisity, what would the Flames be looking for if they were in a situation to deal him?

Obviously, they would be getting younger, but do they want forwards or defense? What would they be looking for?

I'd love to see Cammalleri on the Devils, but it's not like we have much to give...

I just don't see why the Leafs would part with some good futures to take on what may end up being a 1 yr deal(if no season this year) with the squid before he goes UFA.

Toronto has greater needs then adding a 1way guy who has stated in the past that playing in his hometown would be a distraction.

I don't think that anything like this would happen frankly. So to sum up there is no value for the Leafs in a deal like this

The Leafs have Kessel, Lupul, JVR, Kulemin,. Macarthur on the wing(With Kadri+Frattin looking good on the Marlies). That's great depth. They don't need Cammelari. He's not the player he once was anyways.

Cammelari. would be a major upgrade over kulemin or mac on line 2

with JVR on board, Kulemin will be on a 3rd line with McLement and Frattin(if there's a god)

JVR will be playing with Grabovsky and Kadri

Leaf fans, trust me as a Habs fan when I say you do not want Cammalleri. He's a selfish unidimensional creampuff.

As for the Flames paying a 'low' price, you get what you pay for.

I am one of the few who would of loved to See cammy on the leafs but the guy is more of a parimator player Maybe if JVR can be a big body winger on that first line it might work but that is unknown right now.

I don't really agree on "Major". And getting yet another winger is not a team need at all. I want Frattin to have a shot to make this team. It's tough already with the depth they have.

At being worth a billion dollars , 3 times what the Canadians are worth . I say the blue and white disease is not the problem . When you have fans that have been as loyal as the Leafs have have been threw all the losing years , It a good thing . Everyone likes a loyal friend . Coming from aan Oiler fan

Cammelleri is basically a poor man's Kessel. Why do the Leafs need him, again?

For Cammalleri and his $6 million cap hit?

I'll give you a 2013 2nd round pick, if you include Baertschi.

Cammy could be a cheap #1 center alternative. I doubt Calgary deals him anyway.

If they were interested in dealing him, I'd offer...

Lombardi
MacArthur
Ashton
Franson

or

Bozak
Ashton
Franson

for

Cammy
