Excellent. The Cow Palace is a great piece of history, but it makes me miss the Tank.

It's great that tickets and parking for this game are free. Hopefully people will go spend some money at the bars / restaurants downtown.

The people I went to the home opener with (two people from St. Louis and one from Minneapolis) found the place to be a dump with no merit.

Yeah, it is a dump at some level. But as a Bay Area resident, it's also the first home of the Sharks. It's where Ray Whitney got his start, and our current GM played his last season.

I hope to make it back- the Bulls seem to be running hot and cold like no other team I've paid attention to. Makes things interesting.

I hope people spend more money at bars/restaurants downtown than concessions at the arena. That's my one big hangup in all this. When I go to a Bulls game at the Cow Palace, the Bulls get my money. When I go to a Bulls game at the Arena, the Sharks get my money (if I buy anything). Free tickets is the least they can do.
