I think we should set a rule then. Only allowed to sign a max of 4 players (UFA). This makes UFA fun yet doesnt stop sign and trades. before anyone says anything i have 20 mill used already and half my team is UFAs lol so i get screwed, better yet forget this post
Maybe a max would be good, but not 4. That's low. And to SB up there, no problem for the FA signers, just you said it would be boring and dull. So when that happens, it's sometimes a good player and then FA=FUN.

Well it makes people have to atleast think about who to sign. i got AK,Burrows,Mac,Klein,Boullion,Leopold. With a 4 player limit atleast 2 good to decent players will be available. It is harder to stop all sign and trades because it does happen where a limit, whether it be saying 2 guys over 83 another 2 over 80 and another 2 over 75. can be signed UFA or something i feel a limit works better.
Of course it is your decision and im not gonna fight you on it cuz you run a hell of a league, just my input as a gm.
Limits normally work better than no sign and trade
If you can't trade players who are pending UFAs during the draft period, or resign phase, then you can sign and trade ONLY after a trade has been agreed upon. You can't sign the guy, and then wait for a trade, the trade must be announced before you sign the guy, and then you proceed to sign him under the directions of the players new GM.
Next, I'll change the overall cutoff from 80 to 82, and I'll allow trades from when the season resumes, but not during the offseason.

Trade Block: Tavares is untouchable, Grabner, Hamonic are pretty much untouchable. Isles top prospects like Nino, Strome, Dehaan, etc. are not likely to move.
Isles probably want to see how everyone is progressing after the season before making any big deals. That being said, Foster, Redden, Gaustad, Dipietro and other middle aged players are always available.

The 1st overall is going to take at least 2 years to hit even 80, and Cole isn't really a roster player, Regher hits like a tank also and he isn't really slow, you just like rushing players so you find fast-norm. It's not that bad, but the HF mentality is Prospects>Good Players.
