Beat me to it.

Denver is the team that Baltimore needs to be paying attention to more than Houston right now.

Which, of course, may open the doors to yet another Steelers-Ravens playoff game.

I must have missed it. Was there a heated exchange between Tomlin and Harbaugh after the game?

That defense + a QB that actually knows what the hell he's doing + another year of experience for that receiving core + weakest-since-the-mid-90s AFC = 7 game winning streak.

Mind you the Bengals may be the best team they've played in that streak...because, as I said, weakest-since-the-mid-90s AFC.

Denver ends the season with only one really tough game, too...@ Baltimore in two weeks. Otherwise it's just Oakland, Cleveland (home), and KC (home) for the Broncos. They're not finishing with less than 11 wins.

Plus, despite them (also) being nothing special this year...New England is also 9-3...but they have a tougher schedule (Houston, San Francisco, @ Jacksonville, Miami).

Indianapolis still has to play Houston twice...but I wouldn't be counting on Houston pulling out all the stops in Week 17 in Indianapolis.

Just showed it on NBC. Harbaugh told him congratulations, but Tomlin just kind of shook his hand and blew him off. Harbaugh didn't like it and barked at him as Tomlin started to head off the field. Tomlin eventually said "Thank you" and kept going.

Yeah, I wondered what was going on with Tomlin and the Ravens coach. Neither guy looked particularly happy when they met at mid-field. It looked like Tomlin said good job or something but I guess some other words were said too.

That's as much heart as this team has shown in a long time. Huge win.

I love the way our secondary has played most of this season especially the CB's. Only concern is that right as Keenan Lewis has started to figure it out he will become UFA this off-season.

Cortez has looked good too but I hate putting so much time into developing a player like Lewis only to lose them right as they start to figure things out. Hopefully the Steelers can get something done with him.

They should save cap room by not re-signing Wallace and Mendy. I think both of those guys have proven they aren't worth the money this season.

I also sincerely apologize to Charlie Batch. I guess he does still have it. Maybe he just needed some reps. I think we lose track of how little work he gets in practice as the 3rd string QB and then the two guys ahead of him go down in consecutive games and he gets thrown into the fire having to shake off a ton of rust as he goes. Very happy for him tonight.

There's roughly a 0% chance Mendenhall is back next year. Did he even get on the field today?

Wallace...the writing has been on the wall forever there. He wants to be paid like an elite receiver and he's been closer to an average #2 this year.

Those two have made tough decisions very easy for Kevin Colbert.

Mendenhall was inactive for the game today.

Ed Reed disrespects Charlie Batch

Quote:
When asked if he was surprised by Batch’s performance, Reed said: “It is not surprising at all … well, maybe a little bit.”

But that wasn’t anything compared to a couple minutes before that when teammate Bernard Pollard was asked the same question about Batch.

“Were you surprised that Charlie Batch was able to make those kind of throws against you guys,” a reporter asked.

Pollard responded with: “No, he is a professional quarterback. He is on the roster for a reason …”

Just as Pollard said that, Reed, whose locker is next to Pollard’s and was getting dressed at the time, did the old pretend-like-you-are-coughing-but-saying-a-derogatrory-word-under-your-breath gimmick.

“Bull(expletive),” Reed said trying to mask the comment with a cough.

Give Pollard credit because he kept on with his praise of Batch without even blinking an eye.

“He can make throws, but I look at like we let some things get away,” Pollard said.
