Sucks too since Petersson has been one of my favorite prospects since we drafted him.
Petersson doesn't fit well into Richardson's system, or MacLean's system for that matter. He doesn't play a 200 foot game, is shaky defensively and his physical game is almost non-existent.

Both Richardson and MacLean value players that are willing to get their nose dirty, stick up for their teammates and to be very committed to both ends of the ice. It isn't about size either, Pageau committed to playing that way and he has been rewarded for it.

I disagree, I remember that game from last season where he got called up in our west road trip and was surprised how tenacious he was, he kept going hard for the puck and in the corners, I really didn't think he had it in him watching him in the WJC tournament.

I think its a more of an adjustment problem, not until this Friday Hoffman wasn't doing anything until he broke out with a 3 point game performance, same with DaCosta who prior to this game had 5 games and only 1 assist. Those two just happen to be his linemates from last season, I think its a combination of all these new faces, new linemates, new coahing, new system and all.

What short memories some have. Andre was singled out as the forward who improved the most defensively last year, and earned a call up due to his strong play.

So I'm a bit out of the loop on this one. I lurk these boards and follow both Sens teams really closely but am lost as to what's going on with this deer thing.

Well he must have regressed since then. He hasn't been very good this season.

The difference is that a lot of those other players who aren't scoring are still playing well. Petersson simply hasn't been playing well.

Well clearly sacrificing animals to the hockey gods is an effective tactic.

We'd probably go on a 30 game winning streak if Main doesn't put that Market thing on.

But nothing. You have no excuse for not showing post-game entertainment.

This Neilson guy is a thing of beauty..

Syracuse tried to leave Binghamton with whatever satisfaction it could find. With a couple minutes left in the game Crunch forward P.C. Labrie skated around his shift trying to goad a couple Senators into a fight, to no avail.

Syracuse forward Eric Neilson took a more direct approach, coming onto the ice for his shift at the 18:29 mark and directly racing over to pummel Binghamton’s Mark Borowiecki, who put up little resistance.

“I just jumped on the ice, he was out there,’’ Neilson said. “I challenged him to a fight, he backed down. I asked him all game, he said no. We play these guys a lot more times. We’re setting the tone for the next.’’

Didn't see it, but it sounds like Neilsen "Carkner'd" Boro?

Neilsen landed one huge one then Boro went down in mercy stance putting his hands behind his head and Neilsen kept on hammering at him even after the refs came in, he tried landing punches through the refs and then tried going after the bench.

I'm expecting a suspension and a fine, he just went crazy.

One linesman between the two holding onto Boro, the other linesman hanging off of Neilsen trying to get him to stop. He lands like 6 more punches.

There's not way he's not getting a suspension, for abuse of official if nothing else.

Funny thing is he didn't set any kind of tone for next game or whatever, just made a fool out of himself..
