Well there's not much to say. 9 wins will mathematically guarantee a playoff spot at this point, but only one team has reached that figure. The trade deadline has passed so there's nothing to talk about there. It's always hard to talk about players within your own league because of competitive advantage.
Nah, attempting to complete the trades I was trying to complete before the deadline would probably be competitively unfair at this point. Whats done is done, and I'll just keep my first rounder for next year.
Man check out the game between Boats n' Hoes and Yeo Momma. That's a heart breaking loss right there.
What happens if a stat correction comes in next week that changes who comes out on top? Does that change who wins, or is yahoo like "oops too late, the ruling on the field is not reviewable" ?
Stat corrections will change the victor of the game (my wife actually won her fantasy hockey league two days after it ended one year once stat corrections came through).
I'm hoping one comes in, but expecting that I lost. It's even worse than it looks because I had actually swapped McCluster out for Walter this morning but didn't save the change. I'm taking a little solace in the whooping Balls Deep laid upon Fightin Midgets. Projected to lose by 20, he's currently up by 75.
I'd be up by 71 right now if I had benched LaFell and played Heath Miller like I should have. But I was scared off by the fact that he was garbage last week and I figured with Big Ben still out he would still be bad.
A 55 point lead against the leagues #1 team is still good tho, right?
What are the to-clinch scenarios for this week anyway? Anyone feel like figuring out those numbers before tonight's game, after which all of our scores for this week become final?
Not really, but the basic rule is 9 wins guarantees a playoff spot. If xtremeninjas loses to Textual Tyrannosaurs (trailing by 10 with 1 player left for each), I believe 8 wins is sufficient for a playoff spot because that limits three of the four teams tied for 8th to 7 possible wins. To answer what you really want to know, unless Santana Moss puts up 60 points, I believe you've made the playoffs.
To add to that last post, No Touching, Xtremeninjas, or Gator's would need to win their week 14 matchup and win the tiebreaker against the loser of Lindley/Fightin as well as any other of those three that wins in week 14 to make the playoffs.
Unless Jones-Drew comes back, No Touching is pretty much toast.
Sucks because I had a nice run there and won 4-5 straight. I think I lost my first 3 games and my last 4-5.
I don't know, Yahoo's projecting it to be close as is. Rodgers could easily end up throwing 4 TDs against Detroit. For Avder, Newton's playing Atlanta and could put up a score like the 8 points against Seattle. He also has Dez Bryant who has 4 games over 20 points and 3 games with 3.2 or fewer points. That match could really go either way, and No Touching is the only team with a decent chance to pass Fightin Midgets on the tiebreaker (which is moot if they win by 25 points like they're projected).
I'm 4-1 despite having the 6th lowest total points. The 5 teams who have scored fewer points than me have combined for a 5-20 record, and one of those wins was this week between two of those teams playing each other.
On another note, I didn't realize we had playoffs set to "none." That certainly makes for a different flavor.

How would the league be decided if there weren't playoffs? Best record/if tie then highest point total...?
