What do you miss most about the NHL hockey season??
Well it's now the beginning of December. What does everyone miss most besides hockey in general? The highlight reels? Fights? Temper tantrums from Torts?
Oddly enough, I think the other thing I miss most is Onrait's wacky calls...

The joy I receive watching Brian Burke`s complexion become more red as the game nears the end, he`s loaded that lip with a giant pinch of chew, then listening to his post gamer where he states he loves the trucculence his team played with.
I have absolutely no dislike/hatred for the Leafs..Brian Burke and his ego however??? Another story
I also miss watching Tyler Seguin scoring against those Leafs and the camera immediately panning to Burke...classic
Since you said "besides hockey in general", I'd have to say the excitement of it. I almost always have a game on every night, and since I'm in the Eastern time zone I often have an East/West game viewing whenever possible. I watch teams I hate, I watch teams for which I have complete non-interest (no love, no hate), I watch whatever!
Yeah, this. I have been watching some major junior games on TV the last couple of weekends, but as good as the Mooseheads are this season, it's just not the same as watching the pros. I've got a new home this year with a new rec room and it's a pretty good setup for watching a game on my 46" screen.. and there are no games to watch. Sucks.
I miss watching my Avalanche. In general, I miss reading about people watching their favorite teams, and yes, even engaging in heated debates with other fans of those teams about whether or not something from a game was "fair, right, the refs did/didn't screw us/them, etc."
The Avalanche have an exciting, young team, with a new Captain, and I'm missing watching Landeskog lead that team.
I'm missing watching highlights (and games if I can) of the incredible offensive core that the Oilers have put together.
I'm missing hating on the Canucks! (all in good fun Nucks fans).
Always following the G/A/Point leaders on NHL.com to see where the current Penguins place.
I watched a rerun of Pens v. Blues last night and I incredibly miss the crazy stuff Sid did on a regular basis (in this game, he did an amazing fake removing a defender from the actual puck. just incredible watching his hockey sense in little moves).

Edit: Burke doesn't do "post gamers", so that part is just nonsense.

I listen to him every day at 5:15 or so on TSN690; it's one of the things that's getting me through the lockout. That and the MvsW podcast and HFBoards (of course).
As an Avs fan it has been very exciting to watch the development of the team since the 2009 entry draft. To see how this story continues is what I'm missing the most. There are the Lake Erie Monsters and probable future Avs like Sgarbossa, Barrie and a few more who I can follow but it's not the same.
