Markov is a fantastic defenseman when he's healthy. From the video, I'd say he should probably stay away from fighting anymore, but it's good to see him healthy. I hope he can put up a full season in the NHL next year.

Ironically, Markov probably has no idea what a Gordie Howe hat trick is...

I know your comment is likely tongue in cheek, but he's played hockey at the highest level in north american for more than 10 years, he's probably heard about it.

Great to see, can't wait for a healthy Markov in the line-up when/if we ever get going again.

Hopefully he won't fight again tho. The only reason it wasn't completely embarassing is because he also scored a goal and an assist.

I admire his uh, effort. Hope he never tries that in the NHL though.

It's most likely a question on the citizenship exam.

Well he fought in the NHL against Spezza, may be even twice against him.

Markov couldn't abide Spezza's intolerable laughter.

No it was definitely still completely embarrassing.

and he didn't break anything? I think that's more of an achievement.
Good for him, though. Stay healthy.

it really shouldn't count as a gordie howe hat trick unless you win the fight.

When was this taken, I believe he's been back in Montreal for over a month now to tend to an upper body injury. Did he go back?

He missed a few games in November, and there was a stretch where Vityaz wasn't playing for a while, so he was in Montreal. He's been back in Russia for a little while now.

Getting punched in the helmet by someone with a bare fist looks like losing, but when neither one lands a punch that can actually inflict pain it's just a crapping fight.
However, Markov still can't fight worth **** and should never do it again.

I'm more surprised he didn't hurt his knee while fighting.
