Rodier isn't a top 6 guy on a team like Nepean. Hedges, Neil, Norris, Nasca, Johnson, Herlihy, Johnston, Watt and Yarwood are all more skilled than him. No hunch against the kid, because he is (according to 90% of the players) the most feared player to play against in this league. Every team needs a kid like him.

MacNammee and Lesway are on the top line in Sherbrooke, highly unlikely either return.....

Rodier is a tough kid that has good hands. His footspeed will prevent him from playing top 6,a good player to stick in front of the net on PP.

How did the SF Bears look tonight in Pembroke with the new faces in the lineup?

They looked real fast, great team speed. I was a bit surprised with Butler as I thought he made some smart plays and I did not know what to expect from him. Byron looked good but was a bit shy physically and Lussier made some nice plays but looked a bit lost at times. Martin was steady in net and made it look easy

Going back to the Bears news... Adding NHL prospect Byron to the mix and 6'3 OFD Lussier the Bears are making it clear that they are in the runs for qualifying in the Fred Page Cup.

Head coad Mark Grady has a lot to look forward to with this young offensive minded group. Also rumour has it the Bears might be getting back McNamee who played for the club several years ago and Lesway who they also required his right yesterday afternoon.

With forwards Buonincontri, Marchand out of the line-up with injuries right now you can only imagine how scary this line-up would be. In my opinion this is how the line-up would look like if everyone was healthy and ready to play..

Buonincontri-Maniccia-Lesway
McNamee-Byron-McLaren
Carroll-Crete-Butler
Eardley-Trombetta-Marchand

Akeson-Lussier
Sexton-Romoff
Soligo-MacMillan

Martin
Howe
* I put McLaren on the right side simply because he did a great job on the right side of Robertson last year.

* Making Crete centering a big body's like Carroll and Butler, can really give him more opportunity to use his speed and open his ice.

*
Why do you have Mcnamee and Lesway penciled in with Smith Falls? Both players are having solid years. Highly, highly unlikely.

I heard from a very good source that nobody wants to deal with Cornwall. The Colts have been trying to land a d-man but nobody wants to listen (hence going outside the league and landed Suvak who is a dissapointement)

Was told that Ian handed a list of 10 players available to make a deal happen with Kemptville for Lussier but that the 73's didn't even bother to look.

Kemptville got a real good group of good young hockey players in the past week in Blais, Seatter, Allard and Crampton plus Galasso. To me Galasso is a big part of it and SF did not have to take him out of their lineup. I doubt the Colts could have done the same thing. Personally I think it sets Kemptville up well for the future. Every player they took has quite a bit of league experience. It does not look like they took any prospects or draft picks, just roster player, I like the way it was done.

Keefe Steps Down

PLK GM and Coach Sheldon Keefe has stepped down to pursue "other opportunities".

OHL job maybe?

From SOO GREYHOUNDS WEBSITE!

Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Dubas announced early Monday morning that Mike Stapleton was relieved of his coaching duties and SHELDON KEEFE has been named the team’s new Head Coach. He becomes the 18th different Head Coach in Greyhounds team history

Wow....

Pembroke

Is there any word if he is selling his interest in the PLK? That will be the key issue as to whether or not anything else changes under a new coach.

Does this ever hurt the kings, hopefully they can hold it together under a new coach

And if not there might be some new D floating around at the deadline which would make the lussier pick up less significant

How is Kenny Neil not on the roster? Seems odd. He should have made it over Hodgson, IMO.
