Hurricanes/Devils 2009 gave me some of the most dramatic mood shifts of my life. The series had a GWG with 0.2 left, no repeat winners until Games 6 and 7, five one-goal games, and two overtimes. Oh, and it features the craziest Game 7 ending I've seen in quite a while. At the time NO ONE payed attention to this series, but it may have been the most exciting round of hockey in the 2009 playoffs
The greatest series that no one witnessed.
*Shudders* Thats honestly the first time I watched those two goals since then.
Every single series the Leafs ever won in my lifetime, especially any against Ottawa. (Biased)
Vancouver/Chicago have had a couple great ones recently.
Pittsburgh/Washington featuring the Crosby/Ovechkin war was awesome.
That series was insane. No kidding, I believe Halak in this series was the most dominant a goalie has been in the playoffs since Giguere in 2003. He was just unreal. Everytime you thought he was out of position, he would just stretch his arm or his leg to make un unreal save.
Generally, the Montreal Boston series are always very entertaining. Except 2009, we got destroyed by the bruins...
I credit Halak with getting me into watching hockey. Easily one of the best series performances ever by a goaltender.
How has the 2009 Penguins vs. Capitals not been brought up yet? Game 7 was lopsided, but the first six games was some of the most dramatic hockey I've seen.
So many "moments" in that series. The dueling hat tricks, Varlamov's absurd stick save, the Ovechkin knee-to-knee hit on Gonchar, the Penguins winning two OT games by deflecting pucks off of Caps defensemen, etc.
From recent years that is the one that popped into my head first... There was high expectations that it was going to be an entertaining series going in and it pretty much delivered. Crosby and Ovechkin living up to the hype didn't hurt things either.
Come to think of it Washington has had a few really entertaining series post(previous) lockout... The first round series with the Flyers in '08 (I think it was '08) I remember enjoying and of course with Montreal in the first round in '10. I might be crazy but I also remember NJ and Carolina having a first round series ('08 or 09' maybe?) where games kept on being decided in OT or in the last minute of regulation. If I am not crazy and this actually did happen I will toss that one in as well.
Actually... IMHO the most entertaining stuff usually does happen early in the playoffs. There have probably been tons of great first round series but because so many games are going on at that time a lot of it just ends up being a blur.

Ya... That one was good as well. The Blackhawks, since returning to relevance, generally seem to find themselves in entertaining and wacky (can't think of a cooler word to use) series.

For Ottawa I liked their 2003 series with New Jersey the most even though I lost.
People got to learn how to use punctuation. On our radio ads the other day a black man's wallet was reported as missing. Instead of a man's wallet black in colour missing a black man's wallet is missing.
