CBA Negotiations III: Why Can't We All Just...Get Along?

What are significance of these player-owner meetings? No deals can be made during these negotiations, so is it just a means of getting closer to an overall deal? Are these meetings "sanctioned" by the majority of owners, or is this just six owners saying that they have had enough and want to figure something out?

Well Steve Burton from WBZ in Boston is reporting that behind closed doors the NHL and NHLPA have made great strides and an announcement to save the season will be announced either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Find it funny when people also say NHL will come back to empty arena's. That will not happen.

If there's a full year lockout, I believe you would see empty arenas. If they can get a season this year, I believe arenas will sell out.

Only will hurt the little guys

Less people at stadiums = Less security , Consessions , Cleaning , etc working and less people at bars/etc around many of the arena's in NHL

I wonder how the sales of NHL licenced stuff is going or will go as this thing drags out. Me personally I am not buying any NHL licenced stuff. The NHL and players arent getting a dime of my money anytime soon.

You would think they have to be right??

I don't know if Weber gets traded or asks for a trade when the year is up or maybe two years, but you have to think after putting all that money into him, they wouldn't move him. Also if he does go on the block, will they even listen to us since the offer sheet. I would say yes, but some will also say they won't.
