People were making signs for Belcher, players wanted to wear decals and his number on their uniforms, and they hung his jersey from his locker.
He shot his girlfriend nine ****ing times. Why should this guy be praised or remembered fondly? What a disgrace that there are people showing as much support for him as they are the dead mother and a nearly three-month-old baby without parents.
I hate people sometimes. No one understands the magnitude of situations or understand what's right from wrong.
I get it for people who were actually friends and family of Belcher, but ordinary people should have a little bit of perspective and take a peek in context.

Don't get it with the fans, but I understand with teammates. If one of my friends did something horrible and then killed himself, I'd still be very sad. Especially 2 days after it all went down.
If I were friends with Javon, I would have been shocked that I was friends with such a warped ****ing person and have been more saddened that I was friends with someone like that than his death.
The guy had issues, clearly, but Im sure he was still friends with guys on the team. Do you think his Mother didn't grieve just because of the way it went down? When you build a relationship with someone, and all of the sudden it is gone, no matter what the circumstances were, you will grieve.
If he wasn't a football player, everyone would label him a murderer.
This is bigger than sports.
And if he didn't commit suicide he wouldn't be being mourned he would be vilified. What's the honest difference between Belcher, OJ, and Carruth? All 3 killed their wives/girlfriends in cold blood, the only difference is that Belcher took the cowards way out.
It's so pathetic how people view athletes. Belcher kills an innocent women and he is a hero, Bonds take steroids along with 90% of MLB players during that time and he is a waste of human space?

RGIII and Skins beat the Gmen. Helps us out a bit. Though who would you rather have to face in the playoffs? RGIII or that Giants pass rush? Pick your poison. Though our Oline has been better as of late and we've seen what mobile QBs have done against us this year (Kaepernick and Wilson).

Skins winning is more dangerous to Bears as they are threat to Bears even making playoffs
Also it means that Giants ar ein Wildcard mix as well now also
Its possible Skins win Div and Giants steal our WC spot in a few weeks now
We go 2-2 and we're in. No reason we can't achieve that considering we play the Vikings, Cardinals, and Lions. Hell we could get really lucky and win out, I doubt it but you never know.

Or we go 0-4
Team collapsed last year and is in freefall right now
Lost to Hou
Destroyed by SF
Beat Min
Humiliated by Seahawks
A 1-7 or 2-6 finish to year isn't something to think impossible given the collapse we witnessed last year
Not to mention the mounting injuries
I have no faith in Chicago sports teams outside of 2010 Hawks (That team had it) and 90's Bulls
Even 2005 White Sox ,, I was terrified watching them play because every game seemed to be a 1 run victory
Losing in OT to a team that has beat the Packers and Patriots is now humiliating. I get hyperbole during the heat of a game thread, but the things you say after having time to reflect on an event is mind boggling.
