It comes down to Howard/Schneider for me, and whoever has the better seasons leading up to the Olympics.

Quick will be the starter if there isnt a catastrophic change before then. Miller will most likely be in the fold because of his experience.

I'm gonna go...Quick/Schneider/Miller

Ryan Miller, in hindsight should have voted for Quick.

This. Schneider hasn't proven enough at this point. Obv that could change by 2014, but these three have proven what they're capable of while Schneider hasn't had nearly enough games for proven consistency.

A lot can change by then, heck even Miller might find himself the odd man out if he doesn't have a bounce back year.

I guess I'm one of the few who thinks it's still Miller's job to lose.

I think it depends a bit on how they do leading up to the Olympics. There was a lot of hype surrounding Miller after his Vezina/Olympic season, proclaiming him the best or second best goaltender in the world, much like Quick is currently getting. It's hard to justify giving Miller the spot based on 2010 if their play last season continues, but if Quick comes back to earth like Miller did, it will definitely be open for debate, and it's possible Schneider and Howard enter the discussion as well.

I would have agreed with you if Miller had won.(not that I'm blaming him, he was phenomenal)

Just put Quick first, Miller second, and put up a poll between Howard and Schneider for #3 and there you go.

I'm interested in how close the 2nd vote will be. Miller might be the favourite for the backup spot, but he's definitely not a shoe-in.

It'll be Miller. Even if Schneider is the better player at the moment, Miller has earned the back up role with his international play.
