Marcou played for UMASS i dont know if he has a two way AHL deal .He played for OKC Barons at the end of his college season . He is a really good skater .Had 21 pts his senior year at Umass and looks like he is off to a good start in Greenville.He also happens to be from Smithtown LI so would be nice for the local kid
Marcou is not ready yet for AHL he is just coming around to the ECHL He has been hit or miss but finally catching on. I could see him getting called up at the end of the year for a few games (especially if the lockout ends) again he's free property to any AHL or NHL Team. Delisle is good but he is just your standard stay at home defense-man very basic play. Seems like the Rangers have a lot of guys to do the same thing above him in the depth chart. Delisle is a lot better than most give him credit for though.

Other than 2-4 games this year, the whale have been outskilled, outshot, outplayed, out-everythinged... Their record is very flattering and really masks how weak of a team this is... Army, Smyth, Locke.... Come back!

How do you think they'd fare if they were playing "regular" AHL teams? I.e., teams without NHL-caliber players. I've only seen one game this year so I'm curious.

Kolarik is taking off and will soon be this teams leading scorer. His hockey IQ is very good. I would not be surprised if he is a NHLer in the near future (whenever there is a season).

I agree he is a good 4th line / spare option. They have to have somebody take that role during the yr. Thinking either him or Haley although it hurts CT which stinks.
Man they better play NHL hockey this year so we can actually see what some of these kids can do in mini camp/NHL games
Kolarik should be in the NHL by now, but on this Rangers squad? Idk. Haley would get the 4th liner/13th foward duty IMHO and Kreider will come up. Besides, the Whale would be **** without a rising player in Kolarik right now. I say (if there is a season) bring up Haley and Kreider and keep Kolarik in CT. I can say this though, Kolarik will bring a hell of a good fight for the team next year.
Kreider will be on the NHL squad, although he needs to pick up the offense. If he doesn't work on his consistency I could possibly see Torts taking a hard look at Kolarik to play wing.

Are you implying here that the Rangers are deep and that's the reason he can't make it? Because we are very much not deep. Anyone who deserves to be in the NHL can make this Rangers team.

This is a weak team, and once the season starts, they will lose Kreider and either Kolarik or Haley.
If they lose Kreider, Kolarik and Gilroy, they will be totally unable to score. Without those 3, they will be in the bottom three the league in scoring.
