The Philadelphia Flyers would like to thank Scott and Danny for their time here and wish them all the best in Nashville. The fact remains that we have some excellent young wingers who have pushed their ways up the depth chart, making this move allows them the opportunity that they've earned while also allowing Scott Hartnell and Danny Briere an opportunity that they deserve with Nashville.
We are very happy to welcome Colin and Mike to the Flyers, we've established Colin Wilson as a young, emerging center that will be part of our team for years to come. Mike Fisher is a respected veteran in this league and we hope he will be a veteran presence to make up for the loss of Danny and Scott.
The 1st round pick allows us to identify a strong player in the upcoming draft that will develop with some of our other younger players in our system.
As the new GM of I would like to thank Mike and Colin for their short time with me...This being my first trade I see it as a "fix" for what the ex-GM of did as well as the necessary firepower that this team lacks... now has a mix of young and veteran players therefore, I confirm this trade..good luck to Colin and Mike in Philly
Giroux, Anisimov, Schenn, Talbot, and now Wilson and Mr. Carrie Underwood?
Another domino to fall, or just planning on playing guys out of position?
Giroux plays RW for me due to his terrible faceoffs. I'll still be looking to make another move, but in the meantime never hurts to have too many C's. I love Schenn, but if he or Wilson don't progress enough this year to make them worth using in my top six at least I have Fisher as a filler.
I have a lot of good young pieces all over the place, might even move the right one for one of those top, shiny draft picks!

if you ever get the crazy idea to move Schenn contact me!
Hey boys i've been gettinga lot of questions about this lately. "Are you going to sim THROUGH the draft? We have trades that involve picks"
This happened last year too. Unfortunately the first day that trades can be sent (let alone approved) is july 1st. So any trades involving picks are still fine, but you're going to have to let the other GM pick your players for you. Send them a Priority list of guys you want drafted.
It sucks but EA didn't give us the option to make trades until Free Agency. I'll double check to be sure but from what i remember, this is how it is

They are allowed draft day- I dealt 2 picks before the draft last year.

Ya i remember it was possible to get in trades before the draft! It was only for one sim period though
If that's the case, then i think we need to break there, no?
Both to trade draft picks, and deal UFA rights.
Well, I'd be surprised to see much wheeling and dealing done. We only get two trades, I don't really see people pedalling ufa rights. I certainly wouldn't do that unless it's negotiating with an elite player. Maybe other people feel differently though!
You can definitely trade before the draft, I remember this because I was supposed to have a trade done before the draft (Lecavalier) but it didn't go through.

Well, I have received a few inquiries on Gaborik....
Two trades to confirm with the same team (THIS is how you do it Jeffbokan)
Vrbata + Yandle
Carter + Voynov + Tuevo
Summers
2015 1st
Both trades would be approved totally independent of each other so they're not circumventing the trade limit.
*this was an argument in Sitwell Enterprises for those that don't know.
Confirmed. In a rebuilding period and with players like OEL and Eberle getting better, I am confident in them filling the gaps left by guys like Yandle and Summers. Also looking forward to having a guy like Carter in the lineup as well.

I personally don't see any difference between this and the Sitwell trade - The second trade looks to hold no true value for Summers who is pretty good in this game. I feel like 2 teams shouldn't be able to make consecutive trades within a certain time frame this would put an end to circumventing trade rules which it seems has been done here as well.
