Much better game, what a difference having Desjardins in nets does, I thought he looked great. Shocked the PP actually scored a goal, didn't think it was possible. Nice to see Holland get back on stat sheet.
Also heard last night that Pateryn is said to be out 3-4 weeks still.
In a serious note, I'm very happy the boys got their revenge on a team that so easily beat them the game before. 3-0 is a pretty awesome score too, against a real good team too.
The second thing I like from this game is that all the scorers were prospects ( Holland, Quailer, Leblanc ), and two of them are still in their first year.
There IS character and talent in this team, just no stability in the effort and plays.

While I agree with the former, I don't agree with the latter. Now, the team doesn't have a lot of talent. Otherwise, the team is not at #13 on 15 now. Hopefully, some of them will turn into talented players later.

Talent is something you have or have not. Our rookies have talent, but it's still very raw. Take the same team, but with 1-2 years of experience and it would be way better.
Glad that Berger is being sent down. He's been very underwhelming so far this season. Chaput is an upgrade imo. Maybe Berger can build some confidence back during his time in the ECHL. Still, it's very disappointing to see a guy who did so well at a younger age in Switzerland struggle so much in the AHL.
As for Stejskal... He wasn't great, he wasn't bad, and his replacement hasn't impressed me one bit. Can't wait to see Pateryn back in action!

I actually thought Berger looked better this year then last year (he was really bad last year) but his skating/mobility is so bad that I'm not sure he will ever be an effective AHLer.
Stejskal looks like his confidence is shot, he looks lost out there. Hopefully he can find his game again cause time is running out on him as a new group of D prospects look to turn pro next year so it's only going to get tougher for him.
Always been my favorite prospect. His draft year was the second year I really followed hockey and the first where I was beginning to be interested in prospects and followed the draft. Knew nothing about prospects at the time and was just looking at stats, but always liked the guy and he may become something great.
He also did this when Ellis and Nattinen were injured/sick very early in the season and refused to put them in, even though they were ready to play, until they lost.
I really really REALLY hope this is all Lefebvre and not some screwed up new organizational policy that we are going to see with the big club too.

I doubt its organizational policy. More a coaches superstition that tends to crop up all over the place.
