First business trip to Cinci this Sunday and I'm drinking heavily Friday and Saturday nights. Should be a great weekend. Missing the 2nd half of the niners game though =/

Apparently one of my friends just watched a fight breakout over pokemon at the community college that we go to...the fighters were both over the age of 20.

Our future...

These will be nice, cheap gifts for my geek friends for Christmas while being efficient with my gift budget. Little 3 inch sentry turrets.

I am still amazed, as I remember telling you, at the ease kids have in talking to adults at the rink. And I'm pretty certain your explanation was correct. Once at sticktime there was just me and a guy who was going to college next year. During a break we talked about what college he could choose for the best hockey program (he was major talent), and he asked how long I've been playing etc., commending me on my progress which was nice of course. Then he told me to not go too hard on myself, remember to always enjoy the game first and foremost, do not get blinded by the competitive nature of the game. Pretty wise advice for a guy less than half my age I don't think I will ever have a conversation of that quality in the oldies locker room.

Not being old-racist though, our oldest guy on the men's league team is a car mechanic and funny and pleasant as hell. Incredibly popular guy on the team actually.

Anyway, when are you showing up at Rock Ice? Still my fav place to play open hockey. I can't do this week but the week after for sure I will be there.

As Cowbell pointed out he only does pic posts. He apparently had a bad run-in regarding being stalked or something thanks to text being searchable and his solution was to not post text any longer. Pictures can't be searched and stored like text.

It gives his social network persona even more uniqueness though. He's a pretty good post-it artist.

Oh and if you ever meet him in person (again), don't take photos of his family. That will set him off like a bomb. http://altonbrown.com/2011/09/my-fanifesto/

In response to your first WTH, those are tiny desk turrets from a video game, Portal.

In regards to your second WTH, I am at a loss too.

That chart is so absurd I'm thinking it's supposed to be a joke. America's GDP is somewhere in the ballpark of $14T to $15T.

EDIT: Nevermind, my 20/400 eyes were being 20/400.

That's interesting, if not weird and a bit extreme. I would absolutely loathe being famous though, dont think any sum of money would be worth the near total loss of privacy.

well of course there are more arrests made on possession than on violent crimes. there are a hell of a lot more people that smoke weed than there are that assault people, so it stands to reason that there would also be a hell of a lot more people that get caught smoking weed than there are people that get caught doing violent crimes.
