Well glenbuis is wrong, we cant trade subban he's the only good D we have and he gonna be a big part of the habs.
Subban will be the core of the habs with price galchenyuk and Mackinnon if we can draft him.

We cant trade Subban. If he could return us something in the line of a Benn, Backes, Bogosian, e.kane, pietralangelo, Couturier, B.ryan, lottery pick id sell him. I know for some or all of the above mentioned we would have to add but we could trade him.

I would not trade Subban for any of those players save for Pietrangelo. You do not speak for Habs fans in general, but I understand this is your opinion.

No from the Habs. I'm not at all sold on JVR and there's also no way I want Plekanec on our division rivals.
If we trade him, send him out west so we don't have to face him.

The Canucks have Henrik, Kesler, Malhotra and Lapierre at center and they're pretty happy with that. They would have no interest in adding Plekanec at $5M, as it was suggested in the post I quoted.

I find it hard to believe that someone wouldn't trade subban straight up for either backes or benn.

And why is that, seems pretty rational to me.

I didn't say that, Benn and Backes > subban, but beside him, the habs have nothing in D

I wouldn't, backes and benn are good but they're not as special as Subban.

Actually...I'd like him fine. Move Kesler to the wing, or have 3 incredible lines featuring 3 star centers. I see Plekanec as very over qualified for a 3rd line center, at least at face value, but if the price is right...

I sense some sarcasm but i don't believe we have any use for raymond supposing we gave up little to get him. The only way subban would get dealt is if returned a key core piece either by himself or in a package. ie pietrangelo , benn ,etc.

Leafs would take that and run. Toronto is hoping that JVR pans out to be as good as Plekanec.
I guess when I say "would" I really mean "should". Not sure if Burke would trade away a good ol' 'Merican boy for a European.

Please tell me you are kidding. Please. Wow...what an extreme overpayment. Why not throw in Subban, Pacioretty, and Price to really even things out...
