Stuart for sure over Clitsome, didn't like what I saw in Clitsome at the end of last season, he looked really lost out there. Not sure Clitsome is any better than Kulda for sure not as good as Jones.
I think with contracts I probably agree with Slater.

Stuart probably as well. I'm 100% sure Clitsome is better than Kulda and Jones offensively, but defensively... Clitsome has always had good O #'s on bad teams with little PP time. But, I'm unsure of his ability to beat tough minutes, which is really what we need.

True enough, Clitsome has a pretty good shot, he would be okay on the second PP unit , defensively he struggled at the end of the season, didn't seem like he could keep up with the pace of the play, I think he was even sat out in a few games near the end of the season, he does make a good 7th D-man, he is a step up over Flood.

If so, we could possibly get some deals going with teams that have deeper rosters and maybe snag a few players that way.

Honestly it's exercises like these that make me realize our depth isn't all that hot.
Prior to the Florida expansion the Canucks traded for Vanbreisbrouk from the Rangers. I think the rule was you could only lose one goalie or defenceman so to protect their d-men they traded for Vanbreisboruk knowing he would get picked.
