I know for sure coach Smith loves him as a player,as Generals with the change in coaching and management have improved considerably
A couple of pieces to the puzzle, meaning bottom 6 forwards and a dman, then watch out
Nice story from the eastern conference
When you lose guys out of the lineup and other players step up and still find a way to compete and get some wins it shows great character and some fine coaching. No reason to wonder why they're #1 in their Division and 2nd in their Conference.

A lot of players have benefited from the coaching change in Oshawa, Cassells and Sabourin are 2 of the most improved, if Depiero was still there they would not be were they are now. Carlisle and Brown are also getting lot`s of playing time. It`s really nice to see guys actually developing under D.J. Smith. Keep up the good work D.J.
And I'm surprised nobody has trolled casg11 for saying Petgrave. According to the hockey fanatics that post here hes sloppy, nothing special.
Dude get over it. Petgrave is sloppy if you can't see that you are blind. Nobody said that he is nothing special. But there is a reason he isn't drafted. Good puck mover but makes sloppy plays. I am glad he is on the team but leave it at that.
This coming from someone who is listing Uvira as someone to watch...hmmmm?

The guy maybe a bit sloppy at times but hes a good defenseman. He played on an Owen Sound team that won OHL title. Just because hes a little sloppy here and there doesn't mean hes not a good player. You might be a little too young to know who Steve Thomas is but Stumpy went undrafted after his junior career and ended up playing 20 seasons in the NHL. So heres a player that doesn't get drafted but plays 20 seasons in the NHL. Dude, get your head out of your butt and try going to an Oshawa game and see what I'm talking about. You're making yourself look silly. By mocking Uvira makes it sound like you just go to the OHL website and check stats after each game.No points in a one game must mean the guys a bust

Reason: flaming
coach smith better sit down with the team and discuss discipline because the suspensions and stupid penalties are kiling them their in second place now behind the bulls and belleville has two games in hand.whats gonna happen if the nhl starts soon and jenner is gone for good.

We get it man, Petgrave is the best d man in the OHL and probably has the potential to be the next Lidstrom

Reason: qe
Petgrave was nothing special, but played fairly solid except for a few gaffes.Looks like he might be out for a while though. Looked like he broke his wrist/hand area.
I thought #25 Suellentrop, #10 Urbanic, and your G Altshuller were the standouts on the team. Generals played good in the first 2 periods, and were out working the Knights. But the Knights are hard to stop when they get going.
Generals were about 2 inches from taking a 4-2 lead with an empty net with 45 seconds to go but Biggs missed from his own end. OT penalty killed it for the Shwa.
Gens vs. Petes tonight, can the Gens keep the win streak going with wins against the Petes, then Kingston on Friday, Plymouth on Sunday? 5 game win streak possibly with a young line up? only time will tell. Go Gens Go

You might want to look at your schedule again. It is Sarnia on Sunday, not Plymouth.
Laughton has been really good, 2 goals 2 assists in 5 games since returning from his suspension, and he and his line mates have been used to shut down the oppositions top line and have been extremely successful. Lessio is likely returning late January or early February which kinda sucks, but hey! it will be great to have him and Petgrave back in the lineup.

If the Gens can stay healthy into the playoffs they can be a major threat. Teams like Niagara , and Barrie in the East look better right now but with Lessio and Petgrave back there's no reason this team couldn't go all the way if they get quality goaltending.

That`s the key staying healthy, and getting Altshuller to actually to start playing like a 3rd rd. NHL draft choice, because he`s only been average this season hasn`t really stole a game yet.
Oshawa should have traded Jenner last year and at least see what they would have gotten. Oshawa doesn't have the goal tending to get past Barrie or Niagara. They need to do another Tavares like trade and ship house. They should have done that last year and then tried to make a run this year with what we got last year out of Jenner.
Oshawa cant rely on drafting one good player (1st round) each year and nothing else. They need to do a big trade like the Tavares one if they want to go anywhere in the future.

Hmmm.............. Altshuller has 2.65 GAA and a .915 save percentage and he's played 95 % of the games so far this season (not to mention he's a third round NHL pick). You may want to re think(or at least think about ) the hi lighted statement.
Make no mistake the Generals will be buyers at the trade deadline.
Well deserved suspension on Noesen 10 games for a cheap shot to the head of Hore, he knocked him out cold with a cheap shot to the head, the kid was out before again hitting his head on the ice. No video replay from the OHL on exactly what kind of hit they want to get rid of.

Suspension has also knocked Noesen out of the World Juniors :
