I think you guys are just trying to hold hope for Burton's report by discrediting Dreger and Mac

What I do believe is that someone in a high place did tell burton something...the questions are
If it is true.. Who told him?
If its not... Who told him and why?

Probably because the last time they locked out and lost a full season NHL fans came back in droves (because we're suckers) and boosted the NHL to record revenues...
In essence, we did the exact opposite of what we should have done.

Y'see, the joke was that two quarters is 50% of a dollar. There was no 53% in the parable.

Based on how many times you've said player-hater in these threads I think you should change your avatar to Mary J. Blige.

I didn't get that at all.
From listening to it, it seemed like dreger was politely saying burton was wrong and didn't wanna trample him because he obviously has some credibility and someone probably did say something to him.

What did those two say specifically?
I can't remember them being particularly outspoken.

They should have brought a coach in there for the players to change lines on the fly in the middle of the meeting.

Its easier to denounce the owners as a whole, but once the guy who signs your check shows up... you can no longer throw fire at the direction in case it hits your superior.
