Hey Lili, welcome back! Even if only temporarily.

Three assignments knocked out today. I'm on fire. So I got an extinguisher and put myself out. Booyah.

Funniest thing in NHL 13

I was playing online against my friend, I was Brynas he was some SEL team with an Oilers rip off logo. It was 0-0 with 5 seconds left in the first, I have the puck just outside the blueline right by the offside faceoff dot, take a slap shot and score (his goalie was Gerber). The period ends and in the next one he wins the faceoff takes the puck to just inside the blueline along the boards, takes a slap shot and scores. Both goals the puck was along the ground and went between the goalies legs.

Still takes at least 5 hours to fly from Vancouver to Halifax on a direct flight, only including time in the air. More realistically, you get a connecting flight with about an hour layover. Puts you up to 7 hours, plus another hour or so to get into and out of the airports on either end, and you're looking at a good 8 hours to traverse the country by air. If you want to include our north, a flight from Whitehorse to Halifax is going to include multiple connections and could run you up to 16 hours of travel, including layovers. You could fly from Dublin to Istanbul and back (approx. across the whole of Europe, twice) in less time (~5 hours each way) than it would take you to fly from Whitehorse to Halifax.

Well, I thought I heard the dumbest thing I will ever hear couple weeks ago.

Teacher mentioned Ontario might make brothels legal and this girl turns to me and asks "What's a brothel? Is that a type of soup?"

Today that was topped.

We were talking tax deductions and we got to savings bond and another girl perks up "What's a savings bond? Is that when they make you buy a house in Florida and you get to stay there for a couple weeks?"

The provinces are huge too, according to google maps it would take 15 hours to drive from the southern to northern borders of Alberta, while it would take 12 hours to do the same in Great Britain (the island)

Edit: Also according to wikipedia the only provinces smaller than the UK are New Brunswick (lol Pat) Nova Scotia, and PEI (lol RWBG)

Just to compare, est. driving time from:
London to Glasgow = ~6 h 15 m
Ottawa to London, ON = ~6 h 15 m
Alberta/Saskatchewan border to Sask/Manitoba border via Trans-Canada Highway = ~7 h

In fact the only Euro countries (not including Asian territory) bigger than any provinces and territories other than NB, NS, and PEI are:

Sweden (bigger than NL)
Spain, France and the Ukraine (bigger than YK and NL)
Russia (bigger than all)

Nunavut is bigger then every country except:

Russia
Canada
China
US
Brazil
Australia
India
Argentina
Kazakhstan
Algeria
Democratic Republic of Congo
Greenland (Denmark)
Saudi Arabia

I'm used to driving long distances. When I was in Grade 8 we went on a family road trip.

Ottawa --> Toronto
Toronto --> Detroit
Detroit --> Chicago
Chicago --> Minneapolis
Minneapolis --> Sioux Falls
Sioux Falls --> Mount Rushmore (Black Hills)
Mount Rushmore --> Billings, Montana (detour after we hit a deer)
Billings --> Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming)
Yellowstone --> Calgary
Calgary --> Banff
Banff --> Invermere (British Columbia)
Invermere --> Jasper
Jasper --> Edmonton
Edmonton --> Saskatoon
Saskatoon --> Regina
Regina --> Winnepeg
Winnepeg --> Thunder Bay
Thunder Bay --> Sault Ste Marie
Sault Ste Marie --> Ottawa

That's a long trek
