SOSH is rightfully horrified.

Victorino was pretty bad last year.

Reynolds is horrible at 3B though. He's got a decent glove and decent range, but he makes way too many errors with his arm.

With how well he played at 1st last year, I think thats where most teams see him. Could be wrong though. Considering the circumstances, the Yanks may be willing to deal with his defensive short comings because there isn't many alternatives on the market.

Youk maybe. Better fielder and better OBP, but Reynolds has more pop...

I think the price will be similar, maybe I'm wrong. I know thats what I thought as soon as the ARoid news came down - Youk will be a Yank.. Rodriguez out for months, and Swisher(who was the backup 1B if I'm not mistaken) gone, I think it makes a lot of sense.

Phillies and Diamondbacks are discussing Justin Upton for Cliff Lee. Money coming to AZ would also be involved.

Cliff Lee for Justin Upton is being discussed. Money would be going to Arizona of course. Pedro Gomez of ESPN is reporting

I love LEE, but that is a deal I would do in a heartbeat. Lee is up in age and we would be getting a bonafide superstar back that is extremely young.

Nope. Good deal for the Giants especially now that Victorino who is a year older and had a worse 2012 season is close to getting 3/$38M. Gary Brown busted out and the CF market is thin. Good deal.

Agreed. I've never been a huge Victorino fan. Wonderful postseason player though

That would be such a stupid deal. Cliff Lee is 34 and your going to trade a young star for him? Just dumb.

Edit: I hope it happens though because I want Upton out of the division.

If Victorino really signs that deal, then yes, Pagan at 4/40 M looks much better.

Arizona discussing all sorts of three- and four-way deals to get shortstop. Upton for Cliff Lee (per @pedrogomezESPN) could just be a start.

Lol at some of my Philly fans on other forums. Saying this is dumb, get over your love affair with Lee and realize this would bring us closer to a WS now and in the future. Our pitching staff is still amazing with Halladay and Hamels. Oh yea Vance Worley isn't that bad either.

Sometimes this city kills me, and now is no exception.

Lee for Upton would be amazing for the Phillies.

#mariners really seem to like the idea of michael bourn. gutierrez will be off books in a year.

As if they didn't learn from the Figgins debacle?

DBacks beat writer:

Nick Piecoro ‏@nickpiecoro
Dbacks source tells me the Upton/Lee stuff "hasn't been discussed" and is "off base."

Jon Morosi ‏@jonmorosi
#Dodgers becoming aggressive in shopping Harang and Capuano, source says. Could be a sign of confidence in landing Zack Greinke. @MLBONFOX

Mariners gonna Mariners. Bourn was awful in the second half hitting .225. He also wants $100M+ right?

As someone who interacts with Phillies fans on a daily basis this deal terrifies me. Has to be more to it, Towers can't be that bad at his job.

Bourn is one of the most overrated players I have seen in a long, long time. To be honest, I don't think he's that good of a player.

i can totally see the Mariners signing Bourn. Whoever signs him though is going to be really, really sorry. I wouldn't give him 20 million let alone 100 million

Nope. A 4 year deal at 10 mil/season for a 31 year old CF is not a good deal, regardless of what the Sox paid Victorino.

Pagan had his best overall year at the plate last year. I doubt he improves upon it or sustains it over the life of the contract.

Harang has been on the market for a while now if the previous rumors can be trusted. I'd have to think the Jays would be in on one of them. Probably not going to get a whole lot though.
