Oh. Okay.

I put as much weight in that prediction as I do in that Boston guy's prediction of an announcement today/tomorrow that the season will be saved.

Meh. Not going to get my hopes up. We have heard this song and dance before. I expect a statement like "progress was made" or something to that effect, then it will be back to the same old, same old type of negotiations. This was a meeting to clarify the issues, not strike a deal.

Prove me wrong NHL/NHLPA!

Why would they cancel the rest of December on the 6th and then cancel the season on the 15th?

Doesn't fit and I severely doubt they'd do that.

I've killed Breaking Bad and The Office from start to current through this lockout.

Sprinkle some Survivorman in there
I PVR Criminal Minds episodes daily to marathon at some point. Good way to pass the time besides forum hopping.

Everyones telling me to check out Homeland though. I shall delve into it if a season is cancelled or the summer time.
I'd second Homeland. Great show.

Surprisingly, I think Bones is still good even though it's already Season 8.
Season 3 is ridiculously good. Get there as soon as you can.

Not really too excited for Lebrun. He's not going to know anything that hasn't already come out.

Cancelling the rest of December in the next few days obviously fits. But yeah I don't see any legs to the season being cancelled on the 15th

Here you have the owners telling the players why they must take a paycut all-the-while giving them something to be optimistic about for the future. If they've actually convinced them to take paycuts and that there no concessions to give back (worthwhile talking about anyway) we won't find out today, the players have too much pride admitting they've wasted 80 days for nothing

Why should I trust this Flyers guy when the Bruins guy is basically in the same boat as the Philly guy, but talking about opposite ends of spectrum here.

#CBA We're nearing the five-hour mark of meeting here in NY, but keep in mind large group has broken multiple times for two sides to caucus

They could both be right.

Progress is if this leads to talking again. Even then, we are far away from the two sides presenting proposals never mind working together with a proposal.

This is similar to that one night when Bill Daly and Steve Fehr meet for a very long time. I just feel like thu have civil negotiationing styles that take a long time for the meeting to progress. At this point it's just a nice chat between where both sides stand. Also, I do see the 15th of December as a big deadline. I do hope the 15th of December is like a hard deadline for a season. It will really pressure both sides and that is what is needed.

According to people, it hasn't been 5 hours with all of them in the same room, lots of breaks into respective corners.

I'm nearing my own breaking point. I just wish they would announce a deal or cancel the whole shebang, one way or the other, just so I can re-organize my attention span.

To me, that seems like good news. They wouldn't break apart to discuss things multiple times if they weren't getting anywhere.

I would say that's good news...

Could mean actual negotiations going on

I'm guessing caucus means to discuss?

I wish bettman was Italian so at day one he would of introduced Fehr to Johnny and big Al. Theyd have an agreement that day

I do hope when they break into groups it's to think about what the other side is saying and not just bashing them.

I'm guessing that in this case it means breaking out to discuss in smaller groups on a similar topic?

I can't help but envision Jacobs and co. giggling and drawing raunchy stick figure comics of the players.
