#CBA NHLPA held a call with players during recess, presumably to update them on situation

Just no bandades please. Id rather lose a full season then be right back here again in seven years. Get it right once and for all.

As a bruins fan, no season means Chara is a year older. As a hockey fan, no season just sucks in general

We'll have hockey by the end of December.
the percentage of people who feel that way is in line with the percentage that hate puppies, or ice cream, or sunny days. very slim

so the Dodgers World Series, Redskins SB, Devils Stanley Cup and Heat NBA Title don't matter because all were won in strike or lockout seasons

that is just ****ing bizarre thinking

Crosby, Burkle and Lemieux have been in cahoots.

Quote:
The sources said Burkle and Crosby shared the belief that players needed to hear from new owners because of the narrative that a handful of hard-line owners — the Boston Bruins’ Jeremy Jacobs has gained the most publicity in this category — were hijacking the process.

I agree with you on the Burton hate. It's lowbrow. He's not Butchie Stearns or Pete Shepard for crying out loud.

I'll take another Cup.

Half the battle is getting to the playoffs w/o being too banged up anyway.

I fully admit it, I can't take this anymore.

It's the WTF who does he think he is reaction because he's not considered an NHL insider.

Wow. 60?

I'm thinking we might see several back to back to backs. I'd be be happy with 50 at this point. I'd like to see more Sunday games after January. The Garden has 3 open Sundays in January and 4 open in March.

I've watched Steve Burton over the years. And, while I wouldn't necessarily call him dumb, he doesn't seem to be among the most informed and brightest of the local TV sportscaters, particularly when he ventures outside of reporting on football. Does that make me a racist?

Nope. It just means most won't give a ***** what people think of him. If he was right, he deserves credit for calling it. Someone with insight thought enough of him to give him the heads up.

IF an agreement is ratified in time to start the season around Christmas week and the season is extended a few weeks to the end of April then that would be a 19 week season. 3 games a week gets you a 57 game season. Add a few 4 game weeks and 60 games without back-to-back-to backs can be done.

Can I put asterisk next to the Heat title just because I don't like them? At least I could still say LeBron hasn't won a title in a full NBA season.

say what you want about Crosby and the Pens....if they are the driving force behind getting a deal done I'll have an all new level of respect for them.

Yep. And it hurts to even have some sort of respect for that organization because they all suck and are such hypocrites. But if it means we can get back to playing, then I gotta say kudos to them. But lets be honest, it should of never even got to this point.

Either way, if the season is salvaged soon, I'll give credit to one man and one man only

Steve Burton.
