Nice Semin-snipe again from Brunner on that video... and that saucer pass to Omark... hockey is beauty.

Just like Omark and Diaz have benefited from playing with Brunner and Zetteberg. Omark was 0+0 and -2 before Brunner arrived for example.
Those Davos guys have been the biggest undeachievers at Swiss league. Especially Joe Thornton. Playing in front of his mother-in-law doesn't inspire?

Still, the main point in this whole Swiss league discussion is, that somehow Damien Brunner is still the best player there. With or without 14 NHLrs, overachievers or underacheivers, he is cleary better than anybody there. He was scoring like maniac before Zetterberg arrived. And has scored like maniac with him. He equals Zetterberg and Seguin and his relative scoring rate is almost double effective to others.
And that's pretty impressive. That's basicly the only thing I care because we have this freaking guy. And we got him free.
What also points out all the time is how much he loves to shoot.
Also when seeing those guys standing on skates with each other, I can say Brunner is one inch taller than Z and maybe two inches taller than Omark. Because Omark is 5'10 and Z is 5'11, I could say Brunner is 6'0. He has looked bigger than that informed 5'11 ever since I started watching him and now I'm sure about it.
Brunner's on pace for 85 points (with the highest ppg atm, 1.70), which would tower the old record for a season by 13. Zetterberg has 1.57ppg.
I just realized that and wanted to get him on NHL13. Now im sitting here and cant stop laughing at his 61 overall.
it sucks playing with european teams and the players in them simply because it's like they have just randomized the attributes for every damn player. EA shouldn't even have european leagues in the game if they can't take them seriously.

I just know Brunner is going to be one hell of a player for us

Omark had 8 points in 3 euro trophy games with zug, before brunner and zetterberg came...
Okay I'm impressed with Brunner. It's not just his stats, but he passes the "eye-test" too, at least in my eyes. You never know, but at this point I'd be dissapointed if he didn't turn out to be at least a ~50 point player in the NHL.
Sounds like Brunner will play for Davos in the Spengler Cup. Which is good news because this tournament is usually broadcasted. So a good chance to seem him in action for us outside Switzerland. Davos will also have Loui Eriksson and Pat Kane playing for them, and I guess Nash and Thornton are still there too.

Yeah I think he'll have a lot of us saying "Jiri who?"

I'm starting to hope he doesn't play any more games for any other team and we have the new CBA this week. His next duty should be playing for Wings.

This is beyond weird... why would players from a rival team play for that team? Even if it is for a meaningless tournament, it doesnt make sens...
Datsyuk with 2 goals and an assist today, first goal he striped the puck, deked a d man and went backhand on the goalie, it was beautiful. His assist was also great, the puck was near the blue line and he threw a backhand pass past a couple Dynamo players and found Radulov all alone in front of the goalie. His second goal was a very nice wrister.

Every team is allowed to bring in 3 additional players, and it's like that every year. I don't know why exactly but it's what makes the Spengler Cup additionally special.

Teams normally use additional players because it's quite a rough schedule with 4 games in 5 days.
Wow, guess the shoulder is fine and that guy he just fought isn't
Had no idea Mursak could throw like that, I remember him going in the AHL a couple of times but that was not what I was expecting when I clicked on the video.
