Jack Campbell

With Dallas having a great starter in Kari Lehtonen and it looking like they have him locked up for a long time what would Dallas be looking for in return. I always liked this kid and would love to see him suiting up for Toronto.

MY BAD: The re-signing of Lehtonen was due to Jack Campbell not being good enough to play in the NHL. This is not a very good goalie.

Well seeing how Lethonen was acquired BEFORE Jack Campbell was ever apart of the organization this makes 0 sense.

On February 9, 2010, Lehtonen was traded to the Dallas Stars for Ivan Vishnevskiy and a 4th round draft pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft (Ivan Telegin).

Lehtonen's deal is set to where Campbell will almost certainly be ready by then, if not before. He's just not ready now.

Doubt he gets moved. Value is low, but he means a lot to us.

What?

His value is probably at an all time low considering his poor stats in Juniors and now losing the starting gig to Nihlstorp in Texas. Would make no sense for us to get rid of a young goalie (who has the talent, but hasn't put it all together yet) for a draft pick.

Incorrect on both points.

His value is at an all time low and can still be under team control in the AHL for years. Zero motive for Dallas to move him right now.

You're still completely wrong. Re-signing Lehtonen has nothing to do with Campbell. You don't let a goalie as good as Lehtonen get away no matter what kind of prospects you may or may not have.

Campbell has next to no value and will not be traded as a result.

Campbell is terable, i have season tickets for the windsor spitfires and his nickname here called by everyone was four goal Jack because you could always count on him to ATLEAST let in four goals, he had so much hype and us Windsor fans were soooo happy to finally get an Elite goalie then he played like **** and it was like a spit in the face to the organization and the fans, whenever he plays for his country he plays gtreat but whenever he played for his club he was a POS....This kid is a huge dissapointment.

If he gets developed correctly he could be good. However, the first and secound round is filled with road kill goalies.

There was a site for awhile that broke down all the positional drafting of the starting goalies a few years ago and most were drafted after the second
