UPDATE

We are currently over the cap floor and we may only add a depth defenseman to our team.

With that being said, we are still willing to discuss trades for upgrades up front. We have plenty of prospects available along with actual roster players.

Have re-signed goaltender Tuukka Rask to a 4 year $16,000,000 contract ($4.000m AAV). The contract includes a no-trade clause in years 3 and 4 of the deal.

The Anaheim Ducks have traded forward Matt Beleskey to the St-Louis Blues for defenseman Petteri Lindbohm and St-Louis 2014 fourth round pick.

Since we haven't made the playoffs, we're going to do a one year mini rebuild and try to get a little younger. Jones and Parenteau are available, maybe John Mitchell too. Anyone looking for a veteran back-up goalie feel free to ask about Giguere. Obviously on the blueline we'd move Hejda, along with future all-stars Greg Zanon and Matt Hunwick.

We actually received a pretty damn good offer for Evgeni Malkin which has made us consider it. Not a rebuilding offer, just a re-tooling, filling in other positions as well.
