Anyone who saw Bettman's presser knows two things:
A) He was very happy... almost giddy
&
B) We know why he never looks happy, nor should he ever again... might have been the creepiest thing I've ever seen.

It won't be once we promote Miller, Jean, Fasth, and Lindberg.

Wow. If this goes down I am Gonna spend the rest of the month avidly seeking answers on the GLP/ATS and conspicuous Bigfoot websites as then the entire conspiracy becomes clear and confirmed...

Fast and Lindberg are contracted in Sweden and will not be here in NA this season, Jean has (unfortunately) cooled off a lot as well.
Miller looks promising but probably needs a Full year in the AHL first. Newbury, Haley and Kolarik are most likely the first three Whalepackers to get a shot as fwds though on the NYR, excluding Kreider of course.

If this is really happening, we still have to sign Del Zotto.

Correct. And they won't have a long period of training camp to play chicken, either.

Bruce Garrioch @SunGarrioch
This proposal by the union will determine where this goes. If the NHLPA doesn't deliver what it said it would verbally then talks off rails.

The 3rd line will be fine.
Should be : Haglin-Halpurn-Pyatt
The "depth" is Miller. As long as continues to progress.

Which may or may not be a problem on how 2nd contracts are affected by the new CBA.
Personally I am hoping for a "2nd contract paid in mixed fruit" clause that the PA accepts in trade for the owners acceptance of no predefined contract term limits.

I'm going to wait 3 hours before I react to any details of the NHLPA's offer this time.
