The economy seemed to hit Detroit pretty hard. Watching the playoffs, it didn't even look like they were selling out.

I think they did sellout, or at least they claimed so.

Many games there are lots of empty seats but they claim they are sold out. Could corporations not using tickets etc. Or they are just lying.

Tuesday players/owners only meet. No Bettman/Fehr. Was suggested by Bettman.

The games sell-out, but not every season ticket holder attends 100% of the games.

I've got a season tickets, only able to make Friday/Saturday games, or any game on bank holidays.

Potentially some traction today.

My glass half-full at rest status generally kicks in ALL THE TIME but first time I've could see a smidgen of daylight.

Could quickly be dashed but on the positive side despite Fehr kinda predictable that this labor relation would be prickly despite them being no where near as far as apart in '04.

I'm seriously at a point where I don't even give a **** anymore.

I'd be all for something drastic happening like the league totally blowing the **** up and a new one forming. A league where the best players are making a million or two bucks a year. Force every one of those stupid mother ****ers to choose either playing in North America or going to Europe. I don't even care if it's a league that makes Perretuuu look like a first line all-star due to the lack of talent.

**** these primadonna *****es. Even the braindead NBA players weren't this ******* stupid with their ****.

Well the owners are saying they are going to keep talking until a deal gets done.

Though I haven't seen anything from the owners ever indicating they weren't doing anything but that, so I'm guessing he's relaying something about the NHLPA finally wanting to negotiate.

I don't know if its Sunday or Friday, but one of those two if there is a deal done, season starts 12/20, 56 games, no out of conference games.

I hope to Christ the rumors of a pending deal is true. The Wiz is unwatchable despite beating the Heat last night. I need hockey, badly.

There's people trolling on twitter, so unless you see the tweet directly from the individual, don't believe it.

Also, the main board lock out thread is annoying. Every single one of my posts keeps getting deleted, no PMs so I'm apparently not getting infractions, but I see other peoples getting deleted, including one guy that posted a tweet that I went to look at and was tweeted 2 minutes before so there was no way it was a repost and it was a trustable source.

So I haven't a ****ing clue whats going on with that, and asking why posts keep getting deleted gets you an infraction.

NHLPA made an offer, owners are in another room talking, meaning there wasn't anything in the offer that flat out would of made them reject it.

Coaches apparently being told to stop talking to players.

Which kind lends credence to the talk that coaches are calling players to come back.

I don't recall the last big burst of optimism having any such rumors, so interpret it however you want to.

Correction: Apparently the rumor is actually GMs are telling coaches to get ready for training camp and some teams have told players to start flying back?

I get what you're saying, but I watch EVERY Red Wing game (and Cap's game too, regardless of what some say, I am a direhard Cap fan), and they were selling out. I also go to 5-6 Wings home games per year, and at least 35-40 Cap games (we carry 3 Cap season tickets).

Many people decide not to attend, because of the area Joe Louis arena is saddled in.

But putting that aside, the Wings are said to be the biggest draw in the league wherever they play.

AS I said, it's just a notion on my part, and I rely on memory and observation when I post, and yes, sometimes, I make mistakes.

Example: the other person was quite right, and I was wrong... there was no cap when Tampa won the Cup.

You watch "EVERY" game from two teams that play their home games in the same time zone? Impressive.

I have Centre Ice, FIOS, and 6 multi-room DVR's. The people who sit in my section at the phone booth respect me, and don't call out the scores on the other games. When they start to do the league scoreboard on the Caps post game radio show, we turn the volume off.
