Maybe I am off base, but I feel Eberle would be a better center than Hall. Hall games is a prototypical winger, his game is more N-S, brushing defenders and sniping. Eberles offensive style is more dynamic and hes an excellent playmaker. It seems like he can play a good E-W game to. Im not sure whos better defensively but to me Eberle reminds me more of a center than Hall does.

I've said that for quite some time. Plus Eberle seems to be the smarter two-way player. Plus RW to C makes things a lot better than a LW to C which leads to a RW to LW or someone playing #2 LW that can't handle the minutes.
It's not even like Hall is some sort of big player that solves our issue of a big body down the middle.
Many forwards are flexible... centres can often play their preferred wing as well. Top centres are often the most well rounded players on their teams when they are kids and they are given the most responsibilities... both offensively and defensively among the forwards so it's not surprising they are also the most adaptable to moving to a wing position as well. In extreme cases you even get a guy like Fedorov who can move to D because he was such a solid all-around talent.
I think Eberle could play C.... so could Hall but I'd rather leave them both on the wings and have another option up the middle. I agree though that Eberle plays more of a "centre-style" game than Hall.

That could be an interesting experiment as well. Wouldn't likely win many faceoffs though... but there would certainly be speed and finish on each line. We know Gagner has decent chemistry with Eberle/Hall as well. I know most don't want to split up RNH and Eberle... but putting RNH with Yakupov and Hemsky would be lethal. Yak the sniper
with 2 elite passers feeding him... would give opposing teams fits. RNH and Hemsky(when healthy... which he appears to be) are of course dangerous on their own as well.
3rd line of Smyth-Horcoff-Jones would be a solid PK/defensive vs toughs line
4th line of Hartikainen/Eager-Belanger-Petrell ... energy/faceoffs/PK/defensive line
Have no idea if I ignored that thread about having a OKC game in Edmonton, but SJ having an ECHL game at the Shark tank. Stockton is actually the team playing them. Interesting, wonder when this was all planned out.

It's a good thing for Harti IMHO. It means they're relying on him to be the guy that brings some offense to the third line. They split the three best scoters up, that's a pretty big compliment to Harti to be one of those guys.

Additionally, I'm pretty sure Cornet, Green and Harski were a commonly used last year were they not? All 3 of them were at least in the Baron's Top 6 last year at least.

well the last shuffle attempt didnt work very well but i have more hope for this one i think harti green and cornet will be a good line for us and with the way MPS and lander have been playing of late the upgrade of hall over harti should take them a step up. the 1st and 4th line are complete ?'s to me. we will see i guess arco has been decent hamilton has had moments of good play so this is really his chance to step up i hope they click...
but IMO its a good move for the short term as we need secondary scoring.hopefully they can start producing and gain some confidence.
Also, not a fan of breaking up the Nordic line, literally the only good thing aside from HRH Schultz and Hall last game. They've been clicking the last few games, dunno if it's fair to break them up.
it could be just what hamilton needs to get something going. lets just hope for the best on that :p
as for splitting the nordic line i dont like it much either BUT its HALL so they should get improved and Harti will really help the third line improve so i'm ok with that bit i actually think our third line will impress us
