That's the one. I basically apply to any job I see the Rangers, whether I'm moderately qualified (like that one) or not qualified at all

Whoever scans through those emails is probably so annoyed at seeing my name these days.

Hope the dinner break is quick and they get back to the table. Progress!

I was actively following things an hour ago, but had to talk to my advisor for school. What's the latest.

@RealGlenMacnow

NHL source tells me settlement could come Friday. Camp in a week, opener by Christmas, 60 game schedule. Hold your breath.

Anyone know this guy?

94-WIP Sports Talk host, apparently. So he's been around a while in Philly, not sure how good his connection is to I guess the Flyers.

Don't necessarily see this as "negative". Sure, it may not be what we want to hear, but I think what LeBrun means is that things aren't warm and fuzzy anymore and that it's time to get down to business and grind this thing out.

Until we see reports that things went bad, I'll still remain optimistic.

I'd prefer it if they finalized the deal sitting under a rainbow and writing poems, ok?

I feel like it is so close now, there's no way this thing could go down in flames.

Then again, not only was I wrong about these CBA negotiations multiple times in the past few months, I also have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. Carry on

I have to agree. It's more of a "getting down to business" thing than a negative. Last night was a lot of giving and talking and respect. Tonight is "let's start chipping away".

Wasn't I reading stories about the players being called home this afternoon to get ready for camp?

Now.... tense??? I'm confused.

I believe a deal will get done since I can't imagine the players not settling on a deal after this afternoon's festive atmosphere on the web. I imagine the phones were ringing off the hook at the players homes. The wives were celebrating that the guys are finally leaving to earn a check. A let down now would be too much to take.

Tense isn't really a bad thing. Just means serious business is going down. If we've learned anything it's to not be too optimistic, too negative, and not to read too much into anything.

I don't take LeBrun's tweet in a negative way at all...this is crunch time. They have to iron everything out. Thats tense in nature.
