The only Griffin who has been impressive to me in the last few games is Ferraro, real good shorthanded.

As im typing this Sheahan scores a shorty to tie it.

And Peoria takes the lead on the same pp, terrible coverage.

Tinky Winky's move was pretty good and finished with a very heavy shot.

Tatar would have a hard time hitting the broad side of a barn tonight.

Top line has been pretty bad the last few games, pretty sure Nyquist has gone like 5 games without a point and just isn't creating nearly as many chances as he was before.

Woohoo, public humiliation works!

All 5 of his goals and 9 of his 10 points have come since Teletubbygate.

He's a +2 since late October and has greatly ramped up his shot on goal.

All 3 of his SHG have come since driving the wrong way down the street while being blitzed out of his mind.

Riley, you finally have a future with Detroit, stay on the wagon my man!

That's exactly the type of leadership we can expect from Smitty.

10 points is pretty good considering theyve all been in a relatively short time span that can be attributed to an adjustment period from college. Hes looked dangerous on both sides of the puck and the points are starting to come. If he would only get that physical game from the NCAA back. I dunno if its the bigger guys or if he doesnt see himself as physical at the next level but he hasnt shown that side of his game much. When he does throw the weight its usually a big hit, but he just doesnt

Is 30 points to high of expectations?

6 games without a goal, 4 without a point.

This team shouldn't give up points to Peoria.

They had so many chances, should have won it. Jurco had a couple and I still can't understand how that 1st PP didn't score...

30 points would be awesome given how bad his offensive game was in college. Not sure how to explain his lack of physical play, well besides having been seen across the internets and television as a giant drunken teletubby. Not very intimidating. He did tower over that little police woman though.

I cant help but wonder if Nyquist is either gunshy after taking that big hit a while back or if he has post-concussion syndrome? He was genuinely noodled and returned the next day and had 2 assists but has been a ghost since. I certainly hope he isn't playing through something like that for the sake of an AHL regular season.

Combination of slowing down and not engaging in that much physicality I'd say. And other teams really keying on shutting down his line. But most players slump at some point, so there's no reason to read too much into a six or seven game stretch.

They have pushed him to the outside again. Whenever Tatar and Nyquist start struggling it is because they are stuck on the outside. When that line is out there they force them out wide and then collapse in a hurry. They need more of a presence in the middle of the ice right now. I personally would like to see a switch down the middle, giving Sheahan a run at center between the new Eurotwins and put Andersson with Jurco and Pare. Blashill started playing around with the lines a little at the end of last game.

Nyquist seemed to slow down after he got ran and had to wear a shield for a few games. Maybe playing a bit more timid or still playing hurt

Nyquist could have had a couple of points last night if Tatar hit the net.

He's made some nifty plays already tonight too. That line and PP is just so, so cold right now.

If you can't score with the stick, try with the skates..

And they're trying to make it a sport out of missing the net.

I don't Know what Kaiser was looking at, goal was clearly kicked in by Andersson.

This team needs to get their eyes checked, i can't believe how many times they've missed the net in the last 4 periods.

What a dominating first period though.

I think they wanted it to Nyquist getting a last touch on it and not the defender. Or that's the only explanation I can come up with anyway.

I really like that spot for Almqvist. He should be used shooting like that more.

You have to think they want to get some insurance before the third.
