Henry Melton fined 8k for facemask on AP
Jay Cutler fined 10k for tossing ball at Vike CB (Taunting)
Brian Ulracher got fined almost 16k for accidental horse collar (It was a very weak one ,, Deserved 15 yd flag but not this)

Jared Allen fined 21.5k for headhunting and ending another players season

NFL is really a joke with the claims of player safety BS

Not that I want it to happen but would not at all be surprised if he's played his last game for the vikes.

They already let Rice walk because they were concerned about his injuries. Trading a game changer like Harvin because they're concerned about giving him a long-term extension seems like a move the Vikings could make. They have no one to replace him and it'll set the team even further back but it's the Vikings we're talking about, I could see them still doing it.

We also have to keep in mind that Harvin was pissed at the offense last season, he has yelled at Musgrave for his playcalling in the redzone earlier this season, and he yelled at Frazier during the Seahawks game about something as well. He might not even want to come back. Choosing those three clowns (Frazier, Musgrave, Ponder) over Harvin would be a mistake but a single player usually doesn't win out when it comes down to keeping him or the coaches.

Bears will likely cut Devin Hester in offseason

We have seen how much Vikes love ex-Bear WR's

I could see them signing Hester and trying to pretend he is replacement for Harvin

Yeah I'm thinking more along the lines of Harvin wanting out because of the three-ring circus that is Frazier-Musgrave-Ponder. And I don't blame him. I'm surprised AP committed long term and is so patient.

Scuttlebutt is that he is indeed still quietly feuding with Musgrave. Normal recovery for his injury is 6-8 weeks. With the Vikes still in the WC, absolutely no reason to shut him down.

Might mean his time with the team is at an end.

There was also the feud earlier in the offseason when he demanded a trade. Who knows?

BTW, I don't think the Vikes will get in the WC and I think the entire front office knows that. I would love to be the fly on the wall between Spielman and Frazier because I think Frazier is gone as well at the end of the season (and good riddance). Maybe that might bring back Harvin, who knows?

That they managed six wins is amazing... and a testament to why Peterson is up for MVP.

Past precedence is not good for Harvin returning... though it will be a great indicator of where the team is leaning.

Harvin comes back, then Frazier/Musgrave are on a short leash. Harvin walks... then Spielman will have backed his coaches.

Personally, I would cut the whole lot of them. Spielman for his pattern of panic moves (going all the way back to his Dolphin days), Frazier/Musgrave for being completely inept.

And an early soft schedule. Detroit has been putrid as well and it's funny watching them implode.

Spielman has been surprisingly okay. Other than Ponder (but that could have been a team decision), Spielman had a solid draft this year (Khalil, Smith, Robinson, Wright, Walsh) and didn't make any terrible moves in the offseason except for Carlson but that's a wash because of how the contract worked itself out.

Spielman was against bringing in McNabb. He wanted to go to a youth movement. Frazier wanted to win.

In week 16, Seattle/San Fran flexed to Sunday night, while Chargers/Jets moves to 1 pm
Thank god. Can't wait for CBS to make SD @ NYJ their main game.

Also of note, the Giants@Ravens game has been moved to 4:25 and will be Fox's "America's Game of the Week", starring Troy & my man Buck.

And Gus Johnson is listed as calling the Vikes/Rams tussle this week.

Cardinals claimed Brian Hoyer from the Steelers, and I'm assuming the consideration given to him starting next week is more than serious.

Figured it would be flexed. Thank God too, I'm going and I'm sure it would have been cold as **** sitting in the upper deck with an 8:20 start.
