I hope the lockout ends on day 87. The conspiracy theories from the rangers fans would be hilarious.

Then if hockey comes back I want no one to buy tickets until this spring, so Ogre can get them dirt cheap and sit with the other fans who refuse to make a statement.

A Dec. 26th start would be fantastic.

Did a quick photoshop (obviously skin tones are off because I did it quick). Not sure how many are familiar with the movie. lol, a field trip to get the discussions to reality

Warm and fuzzy feelings from last night are gone. Things are tense heading into tonight's meeting. Pivotal session that will tell the tale

I really think if the players dig in this could turn ugly but again negotiations are about leverage and this is far from done but I think it eventually does and we see hockey soon.

So if this doesn't work then sid and burkle will be to blame.

I bet you there are people out there hoping it does fall through just so they can gleefully hate on Sid even more.

One agent almost ruined everything but it was quickly taken care of.

Also, I'll start anointing people after the lockout has ended and when I find out why they didn't speak up sooner.

Think McKenzie (as usual) is the voice of reason here.

Two sides are talking on and off, it's called negotiating. Nothing else to report for now. If that changes, we'll pass it along.
As useful as Twitter is for other big NHL events like July 1 and the trade deadline, it really doesn't work too well with something like this, unfortunately.

Can camps start if that happens? Can camps start if the PA hasn't officially agreed to the deal?

No. An agreement in principal doesn't really mean much of anything, just they agreed to a good chunk, but still have other things to deal with. The PA would still have to vote on things and only then if passed and a new CBA signed would things start rolling. It would be a good step, but it is not a definite end.

I was just hoping it could since it would (seemingly) allow for a shorter period of time between the deal and actually playing.

I don't recall the last time a league had an agreement in principal and things fell through, but considering its the NHL, best not to hold your breath til the ink has dried.

Yea the next announcement will probably be a cancelled season. I wanna be positive, but this league does nothing right to begin with. Why would it change now?

I pray I'm wrong, though.
