Holland is definitely not old compared to the other top scorers in the AHL. He might even be a bit younger than average.

I think you're overrating the value of the WJCs. If how someone plays in such a short tournament like WJC affects their value that much, Max Friberg would be our number one ranked prospect and Etem would be ranked much lower.

Compared to other top scorers, yes, i could agree, actually.

Overall, i just looked on Dallas prospects, and i could see them having better one than we do. The top5 there is awkward, but they havent even included Ritchie (mentioned in previous post).

You'd think. I'm just looking through the perspective of the prospect lovers who only see the sexy names as worthy. Like it or not, to get the consideration he so clearly deserves, he has to sexify his name basically. He has to do something big, while more eyes are turned to him.

Yes and no...no one knew who Friberg was prior to this other than some in the know Swedes. That tournament actually gave his name some value to those who watch the WJC. He's still a bit obscure, but it isn't total obscurity. And actually, in many people's eyes Etem's performance at WJC started to make many people question him. There are many who will say he is overrated, and cite his WJC play as an excuse. Jack Campbell. His one selling point is that he came up huge a few times for USA. But statistically, he's been less than stellar, but that WJC performance still fuels the hype to this day. Ask anyone to defend Campbell and see if they call him "a big time player" on that topic, Bobkov. Any hopes that he would be an NHL back up or even starter existed because he showed up for Russia when it mattered. And defensemen. John Carlson wasn't totally obscure before his WJC performance, but very few people knew him and took him seriously as a defenseman. Until the WJC. Then his name started circulating a little more.

I'm not saying it's the ONLY way to get on the radar, but really? Especially this year...I can't think of a better way to do so as an Anaheim Ducks prospect. Oh and maybe Karlsson might score a few big goals so people stop thinking I'm confused (I've literally been told of by some people for "thinking Erik Karlsson was on the Ducks") and maybe they'll actually know who he is.

His performance is not apparent to people who don't watch Norfolk. He doesn't have many points. Ducks fans aren't vocal and singing his praises. Lindholm will not get any positive movement in the general fandom compared to how he was viewed prior to the draft. Looking at his stats, he doesn't look like the best player on the team.

And prior to the draft he was seen as a solid mid-1st round pick. Guys like Grigorenko and Forsberg will continue to be seen as top-level guys because of the pre-draft hype.

It's also not an anti-Anaheim thing. We benefited from it too with Fowler.

Yes, Ducks and Ads fans know that Lindholm is much better than his stats show. His +/- is pretty nice indication as one of the best on the team, and i wouldn`t say he gets easy opposition. But it`s good to have him under radar a bit. i mean, do we really want to see Lindholm + 2nd for Kadri proposals?

There's a difference between people on the prospect board raving about him and whether he's had eyes on him by the writers. At least that is the story that the people working for this site give.

Cramarossa had the OT winner to go along with 2 assists in a 4-3 win tonight. His numbers may not look so strong (6 g 10 a -5 in 29 games), but the Bulls are struggling on offense as a team and Crammer isn't the only one not performing up to par.

Swedish article about Lindholm and how Niedermayer has helped him with his play after moving overseas.

Key points:
- Lindholm felt he played both good and bad games early in the season, but has had more stable performances just before his concussion
- Will rather play safe than trying the killer pass
- Has learned a lot by playing in AHL
- Has had dinner dates with Scotty who has given him a few pointers

Reminder: Kerdiles has two games that will be broadcast this weekend on Friday and Saturday. They'll be on FSWisconsin(669 on DirecTV). These games will determine if he gets an invite to the US team.

Glad to see Scotty passing his wisdom on, glad we have a prospect who appreciates it, as opposed to that other dbag that once was a prospect

Hate to do this again, but looking and Norfolk stats is there not a glaring problem with the the 1st line? A combined -26 in just 21 games.

DSP has been all over the lineup, not just the first line. And +/- is a very flawed stat. I wouldn't read into it too much.

Kerdiles with an assist. Kind of a flukey point.

Well Frederik Andersen is now 11'th on GAA 2,38, but around 6th on save-% for goalies that have played more than 10 matches with 0,928.
So it's become way more decent lately, and his has an upward trend.

And the team is winning, it's not a difficult correlation to understand.

While I understand the POV that the defense has been better of late as well, leading to less quality chances, the point is that he's no longer costing the team with bad goals and untimely goals, which is absolutely crucial.

Interesting tidbit with that. This latest improvement came after our goaltending coach went down to Norfolk.
