One winner would be Ak Bars. They have only Alexei Emelin from the NHL. The rest of the team would stay intact. Traktor would be another winner. They have no NHL players (Andrei Kostitsyn does not have an NHL contract).

Biggest losers: Magnitogorsk, Dynamo Moscow, CSKA and SKA.
I don't think you can forget Lokomotiv, either, with Varlamov providing superb goaltending, and Sanford as the backup doing an alright job, as well.

Oh, alright, thanks, didn't know that. Well, nevertheless, even with just Varlamov gone, I think it's going to be a huge loss for the team.

You do forget Anisimov and Kulikov though.

I'm quite amused that people still are talking about a possible start of the NHL... the league is done ! Maybe even next year they will not play.

And who are you exactly to know it for sure?

Nothing's over till it's over. NBA season last year was in seemingly the same jeopardy and they got it done. NHL and NHLPA are still negotiating (reportedly quite productively, lately) so unless you have a crystal ball or smth stop being amused smart ass and recognize there's still a possibility. I'm not even talking about that "maybe even next year" crap.

Yeah, from the sounds of it there's a high chance we'll even see NHL hockey this calendar year.

I'm just frustrated that the biggest hockey league in the world had 3 lockouts in just 18 years... And then they say every 2 weeks "negotiations are almost finnished" and everything starts again...

And off course it would be better for the KHL if players like Malkin, Ovechkin and Kovalchuk would stay till the end of the season.

Exactly. I am very interested to see how the European style affects his play (positive or negative or not at all, who knows?).

Since he can't sign lockout deal (Magnitka has 3 NHLers and he is unsigned) I can't see him signing regular contract for a full season until season is officially canceled. Especially it would make sense to sign the deal now when all the questions will be answered in no more than one month.

O'Reilly is Colorado's RFA.

I think he's much better suited for a small ice where he can be a real difference.

Didnt have a good look at the 3rd/4th line in Dynamo, are they that stacked as to send him down to vhl ?
I presume very few teams right now who will be interested in him. The kid F up his career, lol and the talk last season about 'maybe' him moving to NA.

Well. You can almost say Dynamo Moscow wouldn't have won the Gagarin Cup without Anisin ! It's a bit harsh to send him down to VHL...

Very interesting. Were they actually sending him down for only 1/2 games or thats an excuse from Dynamo side after all the Anisin crying ?

Theres 2 articles on allhockey.ru about him, it explains why they were sending him down. If thats the case then thats ok, the problem here is that Anisin sees himself a superstar.
He is getting traded anyway-- send him to Nazarov he might give a 1st line player for him
