Novak's not shooting well this year, but he's still a guy that has hit almost 44% of his threes for his career. You don't magically lose your ability to shoot at age 29. He's a shooter, and sometimes guys have bad stretches. He'll shoot his way out of it. He's already starting to--he's hit 51% of his threes over the past 8 games (24/47). No need to worry about his shooting.

His defense is obviously not good, but it's no longer to the point where he's a turnstile. It's below average but not terribly so.

I agree but even he will tell you he's missing too many wide open shots.

Feeling huge games from Felton and 'Sheed tonight in a dog fight win.

Beat the Heat!

Not a basketball fan, occasionally watch the knicks, but man that was an awesome game last night. Got me out of my seat at the end.

Sorry, but the guy isn't playing well. He deserves credit for filling in admirably after Kidd was hurt but he's just not hitting shots the way he used to.

And aside from 3-point shooting, what's Novak's other "dimension"? Is he a good cook? Does he tell parlor jokes to keep the team loose?
.472 is historically good. .426 is still above average. And that's with that 1-10 chuckfest earlier in the season when he was still messing around with his shot.

He's slumping only in the way that he's not continuing to be one of the best three point shooters ever seen in the history of the NBA.

We should be ENCOURAGED that he's hitting so many shots despite being off his game, instead of saying "**** Novak."

My fears have come true, Joey Crawford is doing the game.

So the Knicks will now be in tons of foul trouble. Hey, 13-5 is still good.

Just can't expect a win without Melo or STAT playing. I think Tyson and everyone else have enough motivation to keep this one close for most of the game, though. Now we get to listen to idiots like Stephen A Smith call Carmelo soft and say we're not legitimate contenders.

Continuation on that lol! Melo wouldn't even have gotten the defensive foul called there

LeBron already getting calls. That was not a blocking foul on JR.

They just need to keep rotating guys in and out as lomg as the game is close. The knicks are too good. 3point shooting team to fall too far behind.

God I just wish they used Camby and Sheed more

Get JR off James. You need his offense.

Crawford taking offense to somebody reminding him how awful he is at his job.

Down by only 3 is a good start. I kinda like this deep rotation.

Felton destroying Haslems ankles was the highlight of that quarter

Wow Knicks getting calls. Foreign territory.

But I have a feeling Lebron's taking at least 15 foul shots tonight

Yeah, when he called two offensive fouls in a row I turned to my friend and old him how afraid I was when the Heat offense turned into Lebron pushing off an travelling every possessioin.

Our depth is finally showing- Pablo, Thomas, Sheed and even James White have put in really important minutes tonight.
