OT: Jerry York

I know we're a pro first city, but with last night's thumping of BU, York won his 924th career NCAA game. He tied the great Ron Mason for first all time and obviously just needs one more win to be #1 all by himself. He hasn't just won a lot of games either. He's won five national titles (4 at BC) and has done so with the utmost class. He's truly one of the good guys in the game. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who has a bad word to say about him. Kudos to him.

I probably couldn't even COUNT to 924 if my life depended on it...

Huge congrats to him.

We're fortunate to have two great coaches, in what is now, the only game in town, in Jerry York and Jackie Parker.

Though York is #1 in all time wins, Parker has more wins coaching a single team.

A homemade jobby, but one of my favorite cards... One that you have to be from the area to really appreciate

Is Jerry York's signature supposed to look like a second grader first learning cursive's handwriting?

I've always wondered what the record books would look like if York coached at BC his whole career like Parker has at BU. To think, when he arrived BC only had one national title way back in 1949. BU had 4. Now both schools have five.

Coach York will have a chance to pass Ron Mason tomorrow night at Providence(98.5 The Sports Hub will carry the game at 7 p.m.). I myself am headed to Durham for tonight's clash between B.U. and No. 1 UNH. We're very fortunate to have so much live hockey in our midst with the NHL talks still ongoing, a fine example being last week's Comm. Ave. home-and-home.

York Does it!

Kudos to BC coach Jerry York for becoming the winningest college hockey coach of all time.
The Eagles win over Alabama-Birmingham on Friday was Jerry's 925th career victory.

With the Bruins in hibernation its good to turn to BC and BU, UNH, along with other local NCAA teams to fill in the gap.

I really dislike most things about Boston College, but Jerry York is not one. He is a terrific coach, and an absolute gentleman.

I am currently a senior at Providence, the BC vs. PC game a few weeks ago was the best atmosphere i've experienced at a Friars game. Nate Lehman has done great work in his 1.5 years here.

I grew up in westwood 15 minutes from BC and went to more games than I can remember. We are all extremely lucky to have a professional team like the B's along with the hands-down best college hockey in the country.

Minnesota has been waiting since April for payback. That's as ugly as it gets. Things will get rough
for BC the rest of the year. Their D is rather thin.

Things got ugly for BC and BU this weekend. At least Northeastern thumped Harvard. As a Huskies fan I'll take any moral victories. I was a BC fan but decided to switch based on attending grad school at NU, nonetheless I still do root for BC just not against NU (does that make me less of a fan?). There should be a college hockey thread if there isn't one already.
