OT: Stick Question

Hey Y'all. Need some help making a decision between two hockey sticks and wanted to reach out to the sages here at HFboards for advice.

I have $100 gift certificate to HockeyGiant and am looking at a $150 stick. I was really looking for a a Bauer TotalONE, but their righty sticks in clearance are sold out.

So, I am now looking at a Warrior Diablo and a Reebok 11k Sickick.

Anyone have any feedback on either blade? I have had bad luck with the past few stick purchases and my offensive production is down this year.

Sticks are all a crap shoot. If any manufacturer could claim they have technology for superior shafts/blade durability they would market it.

Conviently enough you named the 2 brands I use as I like the Bergeron/Datsyuk curve with reebok and kovalchuk with warrior. No complaints/benefits for either. Get the curve and flex you want and have fun!

Thanks man. I went with the Kovalev Warrior Diablo. It's a nasty open faced heel curve.

For those looking into sticks avoid Sherwood. Their composites are lifeless.

Ask HockeyGiant if they have any pro-stock sticks. These are typically sticks that junior/pro/NHL teams send back to the manufacturers for different reasons.

Here in NS you can buy them from all the big retailers and they are generally cheaper, and better than the retail stuff.

I have a Crosby stick if that's the Reebok you're talking a/b. Mine is probably older (year or so). Good curve, good lye, good flex. Does everything I need forehand, and still gives you a nasty backhand.

I'd recommend taking some shots with one before buying. They can have different flex points which can really throw off your shot. I went from an Easton to a Reebok and it took me quite a bit to adjust.

Yeah definitely see if you could use some to take some shots with. I went from CCM to Bauer and it was much different. I like Warrior sticks, but I would stick with Bauer..IMO the best stuff out there. I love my Vapor.

Piced high but the puck jumps off the blade.

Plays much whippier. Believe the Miken Rep said it plays 10 points softer than what is listed

I was definitely hoping to get a Bauer Total ONE but the clearance sticks were sold out in righty. The warrior diablo was the next best option and I am psyched to try out the Kovalev blade. I dig open faced heel curves.

Next time...Bauer Total ONE...all the way.

Sadly Hockey Giant was not offering any Pro Stock sticks in my price range. I have also heard mixed reviews about their condition...and with no warranty, that's a hard pill to swallow up front.

I rock a 91A (Staal) clone in the Miken Zero Limit with an 80 Flex
I also use a Bauer One100 91A 77 Flex

Take a ride up to TSR in NH. Just bought a T1 91A 77 flex for $159.00 (no tax). Still haven't cut it down yet.

They had a decent selection.
