Interesting question just posed on 980 that I feel is worth asking on here:

If the Skins are offered a 1st round pick for Alfred Morris should the Skins trade him?

I say yes, in a heart beat. Love what Morris has done, but with the loss of the next 2 1st round picks after the Griffin trade the chance to turn a 6th round pick into a 1st round pick cannot be passed up. If such an offer is made I'd like to see the Skins push for a 1st and 3rd for Morris.

Uh. Who offers a first round pick for a rookie doing well under Shanahan? Its like...what he does.

The made their bed with trading away the picks...not likely to get them back anytime soon.

Maybe they can get the equivalent of Bailey and a 2nd for him...?

Done in a heartbeat. Stick anyone (aside of McFadden, apparently) in Shanny's zone blocking scheme and you'll get decent results. Add in the threat of RG3 and you're set.

Great point. To bad Gibbs and Uncle Vinny aren't calling the shots for another team so Shanahan can fleece them again.

So little love for Morris. If anyone could do it, Torrain and Larry Johnson would still be on the team.

That said, not many RBs would garner a 1st today in a trade.

Morris is a stud and is a big reason for RG3s success. The line is average at best. No to that.

The Skins don't rank at the top of rushing in the NFL with an average O-line. Their pass blocking has been average, but their run blocking has been great. It's time they start getting credit for that.

Morris is good, but he isn't that good.

RG3's rushing stats make that a little misleading, but their line has been runblocking well.

Is it just me or is this whole "Luck vs RGIII" thing remind anyone of the "Crosby vs Ovechkin" thing?

Interesting insight into Dale Earnhart Jr. behing a Skins fan:

There is nothing like winning a race. There is something that’s close.

At least for me. The adrenaline rush, the magnitude of the moment, the electric atmosphere, the appreciation for everything that got me to that moment. I felt it Monday night.

But to get you to Monday night, I have to take you somewhere else first: my grandfather Robert Gee’s back porch in Concord, N.C. The year was 1983, and it was my 9th birthday party. The gift from my mother was a Washington Redskins uniform. I had asked for just the helmet, but she took it to another level. The pants, the jersey, the helmet, she gave me the whole smash, pads and all.

That was when I officially proclaimed my devotion solely to the Redskins. I had watched games before, particularly the 1983 Super Bowl, when John Riggins ran “I-Right 70 Chip” on fourth-and-1. He went 43 yards for a touchdown to put the Skins ahead 20-17. They won 27-17. To say I was intrigued would be understating it a bit. But when momma got me the jersey, from that moment forward, I might as well have been lining up alongside Riggins himself.

Funny you said that:

Mike Jones‏@MikeJonesWaPo

Kyle says greatest thing about the pistol is it allows him to run all of the schemes that he normally would in traditional formation.

Except both are seemingly humble and squeeky clean. A lot of great QBs in the NFL right now....

Early report from the Stadium on 980 from one of their many "Insider" stooges:

"I've never seen so many opposing fans in the parking lot tailgaiting before."

And T-sizzle will not be active for the Crows today.

That sucks, but its not like he's been anything resembling last season...

Really nervous about this one... Ravens have to win, losing to Pittsburgh and Skins in consecutive weeks plus both Mannings on horizon could get really ugly... If RR has another 12 touches (or something like that) in the whole game, Cam Cameron should be put in front of firing squad.

C'mon evil birds!!!

Larry Michael's just asked Sam Huff how hard will it be for the Crows to be without Ray Lewis in the middle today. Sam's response: "I just shook hands with Ray Lewis. I don't care what anyone says about him, he's a good guy." Thats it, didn't even answer the question. And thats why Sam is only doing half the games this season. Time to put the guy out to pasture.

Griffin and friends need to keep an eye on #31 Pollard. He is a head hunter.
