If there can be two "Admirals" in the AHL why can't there be two teams with the same name in the NHL?

Dallas Canucks anyone?

Nemeth ought to get an assist for the shot that generated the rebound.

5-1 on the road trip. Unexpected.

Wouldn't of guessed that they could get a .500 record on the road trip, much less 10 out of 12 points.

I thought Reilly Smith's toe drag late in the third was sick....I saw the talent early in the year...I thought they would figure it out eventually. I would say the only one I'm dissappointed in so far is campbell, but he is young and looks to be playing better of late.

Can anyone give me a quick answer on what we can expect of Sceviour's future? Potential?

Bottom 6 checker who can play all 3 forward positions, kill penalties, take faceoffs, and chip in offensively when he gets opportunities.

Oleksiak has been very impressive so far to, seems to be getting more and more comfortable each game

Yea I have been impressed with Olesiak as well. He seems to have really nice puck patience and uses his body and stick length to his advantage very well. Only if he would be a little more physical. I believe if he would have a little more of a nasty streak he would of gone top 10, but that's not his game. From the games I have seen, I have not seen him on the PP. Would really like to see that more.

Maybe the physical side will come as he matures he is only 19 still and still trying to fill his frame out, but i'd definitely rather see sound defensive play before fistric like physicality

Call him up to the Stars and throw him in a vs Bruins game. That should get him going.

You guys think Oleksiak could be put in the same position as larsen last year, and maybe force fistric to be the odd one out like grossmann if there is a season

I think that if he's tearing it up the entire year and Dallas makes the playoffs, I think it's a possibility he makes the jump. But that leaves a lot of ifs. Including Dillon.

I think Nemeth will jump before Oleksiak. Especially if Fistric's the one going.

Honestly after watching a decent chunk of games I think both Oleksiak and Nemeth will be best served by spending the entire season in the AHL. This isn't a Larsen situation where they're outclassing the league they're in.

yeah probably would be best to leave them both in the ahl for a season but it would be awesome to get get a pick or prospect for fistric since I can't see him returning next year, if oleksiak or nemeth would be ready by trade deadline

I youtubed or looked at Oleksiak on hockeyfights.com a few months ago and watched a couple of his fights he was in when he was in juniors. He handled him self nicely(of course being 6'7" helps). I think in a real physical game he would throw the body around a little more possibly.

If there is NHL hcokey this year and the Dallas stars make the post season, you could bet Oleksiak and/or Nemeth would be called up, if not already there.

I'm really wishing I had more than second hand accounts of how he's looked this year in Texas. For a player of his size to not impose his will physically on the other team would seriously (IMO) hinder his ability to reach maximum potential. I don't need him head hunting and I don't need to see him drop the gloves ten times a year, but he should be able to bury someone when the opportunity presents itself and in general make the opposition dislike entering the zone on his side.
