RT - There is a $5,000 limit on the tax. So it doesn't effect most car sales for them. However, Sanderson Ford is one of the largest part distributors in the world. So they are not crazy about the additional tax. That is a big reason.
I usually don't get upset at folks on here and this is not directed at you RT. But Sanderson Ford has been a huge sponsor of the Coyotes for years. It's frustrating to hear our Coyote fans bad-mouthing them. They are definately anti-tax but are not anti-coyotes. I wish some folks would realize the difference and appreciate one of the Coyotes largest sponsors they have.
I have purchased several vehicles from them. My opinion is they are a top-notch dealership. Thanks for reading.
Actually it's a $10,000 limit. Glendale city tax is 2.2% on purchases greater than $10,000 and 2.7% on purchases less than $10,000. Combine either of those figures with Maricopa county tax of .7% and an Arizona state tax of 6.6% and you have the appropriate Glendale city tax figure.
All eyes are on the CBA right now. There may or may not be a vote of approval for the deal. I was under the impression that Jamison was already vetted by the BoG. This, by the law, can't close until the 30 days have passed. So our options are hurry up and wait at this juncture.

You are 100% correct regarding Sanderson Ford.
It's $5,000......... have no idea where you get it's $10K.
I posted a link to the tax table off Glendale's website. It's spelled out there.
I talked to a few people who were watching ken jones' booth. They said that within 2 hours he had collected 3 signatures.
Dude has nothing else to do with his time, I guess. Tilting at windmills...
Perhaps we can all chip in and buy him a ticket to a game sometime. Get the Paw Patrol to show him a good time, let him ride the zamboni, throw him on the kiss cam for good measure.

I was thinking of sending an Email to the coyotes or the Jamison group asking if Jamison and jones could share a box on opening night. Haha

Best kiss cam ever was Todd Simpson returning to Phoenix as a Black Hawk and getting put on the Kiss Cam with then teammate Martin Lapointe. Every area does this and it's good for a laugh. What nobody anticipated his just how much of an oddball Todd Simpson actually was. Straight turned to Martin Lapointe and gave him a big kiss. Hilarious. Loved Simpson. Such a character.

Yeah I remember that it was funny and absurd at the same time.
Interesting on the last sentence there seeing that a vote to approve a sale can be done via phone and on short notice with the BOG, there wouldn't be a need for Jamison to be face to face with Bettman or Daly in such a case.
^ nothing new. Jamison confident he'll close by Jan31st. Fans excited. Fans hopeful he'll spend a bunch of money on players and win a cup soon. Same old, same old. Nice to see it actually get some mainstream play. That's really the only noteworthy thing, is that somebody is talking about it.
Thanks for the heads up and online link. I'll be sure to try and tune in if I'm home. I don't have an antenna on my car so I can't get the local stations in my car. Bleh.
