Again, ****ing amazing jersey, should be the jersey now, also remember, a lot us grew up with those movies and in general grew up watching the NHL in the 90's, it means a lot to us, not sure how old you are but just making a point:
The world needs to see Wild Wing in updated colours.

Something like this for the sweaters.

If you take away the wacked-out logo and the red bricking around the sleeves, collar and waist (and make it a solid colour) it would be a nice-looking jersey. Put the current logo on this jersey and I'm all for it. The current uniform is a little too simple.

I HATE the original Ducks jersey. I'm old enough to remember the Ducks joining the league and I thought those uniforms and the "Mighty Ducks of Anaheim" name was a joke and an aberration on the league. Putting a team with that name on the ice against the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens was sacrilege. Those uniforms remind me of the league selling out their tradition to Disney. Why not make a billion-dollar deal with Marvel to add a team to the league called the "Kansas City Spider-Men", and have uniforms with spider webs on it with a Spider-Man mask logo? Same difference.

Thank God they're the plain old Anaheim Ducks now. (And they're current jerseys are definitely not up to snuff either.)

To each is own, but I prefer a classic, original look. The original Sharks uniforms KILL their late-90's replacements. The Whalers logo and uniforms. Colourful but classy.

Fix the logo (meaning, replace it with something that looks remotely like a hockey crest) and that's a decent design with bonus points for creativity and cultural identity.
Another winner.

If/when Quebec City gets the Nordiques back they'd be damn fools not to go back to these jerseys. Absolute beauties.

That is gorgeous, I love the Orange in the current Anaheim 3rds as well. Probably one of the best looking Jerseys in the league right now.

Agreed 100%. The sad thing is they were about to change their jerserys to this:

It almost makes you not even feel bad the team moved because those are awful.

Here is something I stumbled upon during the search for pics, kind of a hybrid between the original and proposed new one:

I don't think it is better than the original by any means but it is better than the one there were going to start using.

Another one I just cannot wrap my head around is Dallas:

vs.

This isn't even a question of the old one being too loud.

ANOTHER example of a bad late '90's jersey. Not Phoenix-bad, but bad.

In an alternate reality HFBoarders are currently waxing nostalgic about the "amazing" jerseys the Blues wore from 1996-2003....

So what do the canucks do? They pay some metro meat head 2 million dollars to come up with the new jersey. He delivers the exact same logo orca bay entertainment had used with now 70s colours and a goofy 2D Vancouver in ms paint font.

F You all those who designed and approved the latest canucks jersey
I'm sure it wasn't the designers decision for 90% of what you see now in the nucks jersey. As a designer myself, I know that when you do a project, particularly for something this big (not that I've designed for a pro team before - yet) you have too many execs in the kitchen trying to stir the pot. He was given a criteria and he did the best he could. And personally, I'd take the 70's colors over the lame, dull and boring navy/maroon/silver theme you guys had before any day.

Anaheim's 3rd is the best in the league??? Are you mad??? I know you guys have the worst 3rd's but thats no reason to suggest the 2nd worst is the best.

I'd bet you'd be in the majority with most fans over 35-40 here. The original Canucks jersey, with mild updates, is all that is necessary.

Apparently the current abominations had multiple issues getting registered in the US so they had to be reworked. I was at the jersey unveiling and thought it was a joke at first.

I grew up in the late 90s and early 00s, and I say the best era was the 70s and 80s

Although I do agree that there were still some good jerseys in the 90s, but most teams had past their jersey peak

those stars and rangers jerseys were cool, but every other jersey in the OP makes me want to puke. all of those franchises had better jerseys in the early 90's.

I think the late 90's takes too much heat from detractors and is too revered by fans of the looks. Ultimately it had some hits and some misses. Just like any era

If you think those are mild updates then we disagree on the definition of mild. Our current 3rd isn't the original, it has some small changes to make it look more modern.

The 40th anniversary uniforms would be perfect with nameplates on the back. This is as close to the original design as we could hope for, and it looks great.

Here's what they look like in action:

The colors and striping are much bolder and the stripes are a lot cleaner, in my opinion.

Speaking of classic jerseys, I've always liked the Rangers' 1994 uniforms more than the current design. The colors were darker, and the striping stood out to me.

Take a look at the striping pattern on the dark uniform.

And notice how dark the blue is on the white uniform.

Compared to their current uniforms:

Same color, actually.

The old CCM from the early-1990s was actually mesh. They didn't switch to airknit for years down the road. Those materials reflect light differently. Even in your last picture, notice how the relatively minor light differences make a huge difference in reflection.
