Take one for the team Canada.
Please happen. I need the entertainment

But if they have all these agreements, they really can't be that far off...

This is what I'm getting too. It's ridiculous.

How the hell can you let these (relatively) minor issues cancel a season? I have to think that Fehr and the league do not "agree on dollars".

If the sticking point is the max contract issue... This place will go into a meltdown.

I get a kick of the knee-jerk reactions. Never gets old.

Look beyond the smoke and they seem to be close, if Fehr's words are to be believed.

I dont appreciate his grandstanding in front of the media though, thats for sure.

TSN says the NHL flipped it **** about the NHLPA offer not being 10 years and that's why they took things off the table

I mean, really...because the offer wasn't for 10 years, they're shutting talks down and pulling **** off the table? Ridiculous. I'm sure there are other issues, like the contract terms, that still aren't right there, but cmon

Hopefully Bettman comes out and agrees with Fehr and say we do have an agreement on the revenue money and the pension plan.

Maybe he will just say we don't agree with the lengths of the CBA and contracts.

Did Fehr know the NHL's response before he started his press conference?

I agree. If they have those agreements on the major issues, they can't be far off. A deal will get done.

It's just pathetic how they rejected it so quick with no intentions on getting back to counter it.

I kind of have to wonder if that was the case.

Even if he didn't, however, all the NHL had to do was stay silent or say that they're considering it and then go back to negotiating tomorrow. No need to play into Fehr's grandstanding. Instead, they flip their **** and here we are

3 years or rather just one with re-signing. Seriously, if these little issues are what kills the season, there are no words to describe how stupid they are.

Anyway, what are the chances that voicemail is like those two Australian DJs who called Kate Middletons hospital posing as the queen?

Wow. If that's the case, the PA should make it 10 years. 2 more years of playing without a lockout. You'll still get your lucrative pay checks.

Wouldn't be surprised if they announced the cancellation of the season. Fehr really pissed off the owners with that PR stunt.

Would've been cool if he answered his phone during the press conference and let us real the rejection in real time.

What a ****ing joke. **** all of them POSs.

Enough is enough. The dog and pony show went on for months and it's too late in the game to be playing chess matches on trying to see who blinks. It's December 6th already. Get a God damn deal done.

I dislike the man, but please for the of God, let Dolan in the meetings!!

If somebody told me on sept 15th a deal wouldn't be done by the first week of December, I would have laughed.

That's not me being optimistic either, it's just me underestimating the stupidity of other people. Mind = blown
