He's a small forward. But all of the Moncton fans will love this kid down the road. Plays the game the right way, and has a ton of talent. Should have been with this team all year.
I'd like to say Eichel has more "pro potential" and Garland may be a better Q player. Garland's downfall is his size, he and Eichel have similar skill levels but size definately hold Garland back a bit. The good thing about that is size dosn't really matter in theQ and it could mean Garland will be here for 4.5 years.. Another benefit Garland has it that he'll have half a season under his belt before Eichel if he even reports next season.. Time will tell but it will be fun to watch the two in the Q..
Similar stats in the EmJHL, and Eichel is bigger, so there's the pro potential... How much of an impact will Garland have in such a short time span to make the WC's not upgrade their top 6 is the question.
Glad to see that Garland had another good night (points wise). Since I can't get the games here in the states I can only make judgements based on the box score.

He has tremendous potential no doubt. He has 2 goals and 1 assist in 2 games thus far and dosn't look out of place out there after only arriving last week. Obviously his size hold him back but he makes up for it with speed and hockey sense. He plays a very smart, positional game. He was rarely out of position and was smart with the puck. He scored both of his goals in the same fashion , stripped dmen of the puck behind the net and circles in front and waits until the goalie drops to score. He showed incredible patience last night while scoring. Considering he has the potential to be here 4.5 years , he'll be a star and fun to watch. Another thing to note is he dosn't shy away from the physical play and threw a nice check last night that had the crowed applauding. Connor should have came wrapped with a bow.
Moncton beat the Titan 5-3 last night at the Coliseum. Garland continues to impress me after scoring an unassisted goal in his first shift of the night. He's small but his speed and hockey sense certainly make up for it. He'll be fun to watch for the next four and a half years ! Holowenko played a decent game and seems to have lock up the back up role. He's now has 5 wins in 6 starts in the Wildcats uniform. The best line was of 3rd of Tremaine-Penny-Lalonde. They combined for 5 points and generated scoring chances and momentum throughout.

I am over here in England, interested in the Qs "imports" but what is up with the overall lack of footage?
You would think during the lockout the Q would be show casing the terrific talent in the league, but apart from the weekly "plays of the week" its impossoible to see highlights from this season?
The OHL & WHL show clips the next day on the websites, but seemingly the Q dosnt even put up recent photos (check out the "gallery" at Q.com, the most recent entry is mid October ?!|!?)
On a different note: how long is Jaskin going to be away for?
