Watched the game today. Even though he didn't score any point, Hertl played great in my opinion. Especially I liked that one deke in the end of the third period.. could score game winning goal. Also, nice shootout goal.
I think his game is steadily improving, I can't wait for WJC.

Where do you see Hertl slotting in next year? Will he play for San Jose or Worcester?
From what I saw last year at the WJC and read in scouting reports, Hertl is ahead of a lot of players from the 2012 draft in his development from playing so well against men. Some people were speculating that he'd make the jump to the AHL this year, but he decided to stay in the Czech Republic and it appears to be a good move.
Also, is Stransky eligible to play in the WJC this year? The team would be much better with him on the roster.

Stransky is eligible but probably won´t be on team. Coach Prerost has never liked him for some very strange reasons.
Hertl, Who knows. I don´t know what´s his contract in Slavia.
Can't believe how well Jaskin is doing in Moncton. The kid is top 5 in the league in scoring with 22 goals and 23 assists through 27 games! Don't think many people saw this coming after last season.

Looks like playing in the Czech Extraliga against men paid off....I still reckon he should have stayed.
Someone mentioned these prospects for 2014 Jakub Vrana, David Pastrnak, Filip Pyrochta, Tomas Andrlik, Pavel Jenys, Jakub Kotala. So are they stronger than the 93 group and does this mean development of czech youth players is on the upswing again?

96´could be at least at same level as 93´ but it´s still early, personally not big fan of Jenys or Andrlik but on other hand there are some interesting long term prospects like Vejmelka, Zohorna or Karabacek.
Regarding second question, I don´t think so. Some birth years look slightly better thought.

Hmm interesting thanks, I agree still early. Lets hope its a sign of better prospects to come. Didn't they recently change their system to model what Sweden did to rebound their program? Also, what do you think of players like Vrana and Pasternak who go to Sweden early on in their development? Is it good for them?

He's really tearing up Junior A. Does he have a shot at being drafted in 2014?
Shot? lol you must be new, he is a likely first round pick in 2014 as of now. Hopefully he can stay there and move up in the round.
Based off of him dominating a junior a league but not making the jump to junior, i'm guessing he's a 7th rounder or undrafted. Could be an interesting depth player for the czechs, though.

The problem with this "other" Vrana is that the league he's playing in is a joke. The GMHL operates outside the auspices of Hockey Canada and as such is considered a "renegade" league. It's a pay-to-play league which has a reputation for making a lot of money off it's players while offering a very low level of play.

Karabacek has some really good stats but why the heck is he playing for Salzburg u18? That doesnt really make much sense...

Salzburg has better development program than majority of Czech team. And would not be surprised if he moves to Sweden for next season, has same agent as Vrana and Pastrnak.

Oohhh ok that's good then. Thanks for the info! I'm really excited to see the 96/97 born players in a couple years at the wjc. Seems like a strong group. Nice to see that vrana got invited to this years tournament.
What about Miroslav Indrak and his chances for draft? I know Czechexpert was kind of high on him and said he could surprise. Stats wise he had a slow start to the season, then he wasn't playing for a while (injury probably?). Now he's doing pretty good. According to hokej.cz he's just 172 cm tall though.
